Yeah I have to agree with that, Violet commands much more respect than him.
Although I guess they fit different roles, Matt seems like the cruel dom while Violet may be a more gentle dom.

I think the reason that the Violet route is so good, is that Violet isn't really dommy normally. They start out as friends and only after picking choices that makes Chelsea like "serving" Voilet, she asks about it and it's mutual.
