Is there a hotkey to skip to next morning at school? I'm on my second playthrough and there's so many mouse clicks just to advance the day...

I have the same problem:
I walk around the first day, 2 events happen
1. Library with a boy helping you
2. You bump into a girl and smash her phone.
I don't get a event to find work and thus cannot go to work on the 2nd day

Are you playing Uni here as I think you might be talking about the wrong game? Neither of these events are ones I recognise at all, let alone ones that happen on day 1 or 2. The flow should be like this.
Intro
Day 1 - wake up, go to school, matt gropes you and you let him or stop him, then you pick the walk around option on the map(you have to do this to progress) and either get a job at the bakery or at thecafe based on your choices (again you HAVE to do this on day 1 to progress). Then either walk around again or go to bed.
Day 2 - Wake up, go to school, pick a club, go to work (the cafe or bakery on the map I highlighted previously), then after work you can walk around again, do homework, go to bed to progress the next day e.t.c.
Neither of these are events that happen on the first day of the game.

No worries, seems like I found the culprit.
It's the "new events mod"
if I remove the file of that mod, the game goes for the job hunt.

-Fixed an outfit changing issue with Kate in the Cafe changing room.
-Fixed Matt being in the wrong outfit during his Bakery Conflict Event.
-Fixed a graphic issue with the "Flirt" outfit's feet.
-Fixed a bug with the stripclub event chain that could prevent it from progressing properly under certain circumstances.
-Added a Farmer's Market Refusal counter. If you refuse going into the farmers market 3 times then it will never trigger again.
This update brings a lot of fixes, a lot of CG Scenes, and more events for Kate and Aeon.
Writing:
One new large Aeon event on the Faithful route and 4 new Kate events, there would be more however, due to the delistment of Uni on Itch.io has cut our income almost in half and has reduced our development speed as a result.
We'll be releasing a separate demo page to help, but it's going to take some time to recover unless Uni is relisted soon. I'll discuss this more in the upcoming plans post.
To everyone that has been fighting against payment processors to prevent them from deciding what we can pay for, we thank you dearly. Keep it up.
Artwork:
Lots of new Kate CG Scenes for her initial post route lock event. And with the Leon "Tryout" CG Scene it marks our 200th CG Scene in the game!
Got some pretty large CG Scenes in the works and a highly anticipated one with Simone.
Technical:
In our QA testing we cleaned up the sprites in several events and shortened the timings on some of the expression transitions. In addition to that we've added music tracks to some events that needed it.

One strange thing that caught my attention is that in one event Damien shows up in cheerleading class, but then asks Chelsea what club she is in as if he didn't know.
And another thing progressing in Matt's story on the blackmail route, apparently he met Matt's mother, but no such encounter ever happened, I was only told about it in conversations.
In my current game with Damien, Matt, and Violet, my plan was to see what conflicts arose between the three of them and ultimately choose Violet, but I feel like working at the bar was counterproductive, all because I'm such a big slut. I admit it, I deserve it.
Kate's route is still pending, but that will be a separate route. It's a shame Chelsea can't have a threesome with Violet and Kate, that would be amazing.
