I believe in the good in people. What's more, he could easily make ten times as much a month with his work on Patreon if he did something about it. It's not that he doesn't have a talent for graphics. Maybe, just maybe, at some point his greed will make him realize that 36k a year is more than 3.6k.
Look, I understand what you are saying, but some people on here barely scroll back 2 posts before asking a question that has been asked 4 posts ago. People are free to support Carbon but if I can help get at least one person to pause and think about it, that's a win. It's not like I spam this thread - even when I was updating regularly, it was every 3 days at the most - some people post multiple times per day on the same thread!
If I see a render from him here, I'm going to post something to counter him. More fool me for giving a fair amount of my $ to support Carbon in the past and irony hasn't escaped me that you can't remove the link where it shows I support(ed) him!
If you already know he is a liar and a scammer, it doesn't hurt you to skip on by.

don't disagree with all that, but with his track record it's hard to imagine he changes his approach just like that. I'm just sad because as you said, the talent is there, too bad about the rest.

Its been 5 years and so far all we've seen is her tits. Maybe in 10 years you'll get your wish.
I understand why people get upset about delays and especially patreon leeching, but I have to admit I find it funny that your here doing it while getting the game for free, likely along with most of your other games....so in that sense donating to a patreon is completely optional. Pot calling the kettle black don't you think?

Spot on. That why a lot of people just no longer even aknowledge the existance of this game. I don't see why getting all heated up because it went to the drain. Ok, it started very promising but it happens. No big deal.

I just can't fathom the dev dropping in to defend themselves if its dead. Maybe its just me having too much faith...maybe it needs an "on hold" label even, but they're obviously still around giving us an art gallery.
I caught this one late in the game so to speak, so I won't comment either which way on the length of time or the patreon aspect, I might have shut that down too if updates too way too long or made it free for past subscribers only until I made a good chunk of progress if i'm being honest--but thats between them and the subs, I found the game here and just recently started speaking on the forums to catch this whole mess.
I just think its the wrong place to complain...all things considered lol.
From my perspective, it's not complaining, it's warning people if they drop in the thread that don't expect anything other than an "art gallery". A lot of people, including me, found VNs here and then support the Patreon. I support quite a few and used to support this one. Carbon knows full well what they are doing - for the last few years they have been milking people and lying about the VN development.
It really is a shame because he clearly has some talent, but that doesn't give you the right to lie and scam people.
It's the right place to complain, but as others have mentioned, the problem is when these 6 or whatever people complain and cry and post the same whining little crap over and over and over without stopping. You don't like me, you don't like my game, great. There are 19,133 others on this site for you to get off on.
"But we're preventing other people from joining his patreon!" No you're not. I've said it since the beginning: when I post updates, I add patrons. In the time between updates I lose patrons. More time between updates = more patrons lost. That's all on me and it has nothing to do with whether some porn-game-Karen constantly cries on F95zone.

Again, as blunt as I can be (although I might get some hate for this statement), this is basically a porn pirate site if not a try before you buy site...either way its free here. It may be the place to complain but you have to admit there is a certain irony about people doing it.
Like you just said...there is no reason to follow along and bash you every step of the way, I'm just saying there's even less reason when they don't pay for anything on this site unless they choose to do so and support the dev.
