If not, maybe give a try to GAME RIPPER. That's known to work on Win11, and it can extract RPA even without python (and its RPYC decompiler uses the game's python installation, so it will work if the game otherwise works on Win11).

That's nonsense. Its just a batch respectively command script file and runs definitively on it if everything correct is on the client.
If its in your case not running, you do either something wrong or your W11 has some misconfiguration.
The real problem in the end, if you get it running, is the outdated state of unren which makes it useless for decompiling newer RenPy apps.

can someone please tell me how to get the variables.rpy files in the game folder? I used unren and still couldn't get the variables.rpy file. The game is Demon curse

It works on win11 for me, but it does come with a warning about running a file from external source every time

Yeah. Quit normal this days.
Win internal files and from MS sources or certified stuff is viewed as secure and everything else as potentially contaminated so it nags everytime.
Could someone tell me if I can change the path where the files are extracted and decompiled or if it is the default path in the main folder of the game.
If it is possible to do so, could you tell me how?

I keep getting the “chcp” error and editing didn't work I didn't know much about batch but I tried something but without success I did a search to see if there was something wrong with my system but no system files were missing in the bat (batch) file it said it only supported the highest win10.
I use renpy version 8.2.0 to make games myself but in general the packaged files are used in version 7.6.x or less, I'm still learning renpy, I put unren in the game folder and when I double click on it I get an error message that it should work on more win10 versions, I even considered switching to win10 just because of this.

To someone who never used a tool like this, can you tell me is it possible to somehow extract the 3d models from a game in I way so I can edit/manipulate/pose them?
No, the 3D models aren't in the RenPy based games. They are rendered in software and served as images.
For a start, search for Daz3D. That is where many of the devs start their work. It has an extensive model store and lots of free content to get you started. Others use Blender. There is a pipeline to move Daz models into Blender or Unreal Engine.
I was using Unren to extract RPA images from some games, but now when I use Unrem, the options appear but access is denied... why?

Likely missing NTFS permissions wherever in your file system you're trying to run it.

You won't need to change permissions if you keep your games folder inside your windows user profile as one of the subfolders.
You do anywhere else. And you need administrator privileges to change permissions there.
Use %userprofile% as an address in your folder window address bar or as a windows search term and it'll get you there. Create a new folder there for games. This is where you don't need to change anything.

Thanks friend, but I don't know how to do this and I don't have any friends to teach me. I would have to see it step by step for me to learn. Too bad, the Unren I had was just extracting it to the game folder and pressing enter to extract the images.
