Just dropping the info and some thoughts:
RenPy 8.2.x / 7.7.x is officially out two days ago.

I guess in a few weeks will the number of games on this engine version increase and with all the changes in RenPy, will be fruitless try's to decompile with incompatible unrpyc/unren versions. So i expect again some posts and cry`s about this etc. I don't know if VepsrP catched all changes in his last unrpyc embed but we will see.

If someone wants to take a look which future changes for decompiler compatiblity are lurking out there, here is a nice little link:

Yeah, correct.
FYI: If you look at his terminal screen it shows as part of the error u'.\\{SOME_THING_BLA}' This 'u mean its a unicode issue(file encoding type stuff), what means py2, what means OLD, what means compatibility problems. So it's mostly a good bet to try a older app version(here unren).

Some of you know this already, so please don't be offended.

"Jeanne at the Clock Tower" is decompiled. As for "Sona-Nyl of the Violet Shadows" - there is too much proprietary code, plus a conflict with "Jeanne at the Clock Tower", it is not possible to decompile both games with the same version of the tool.

You can check it out. Both games are now working. I can only wish you good luck with the translation. The developer did some shit with the game engine.

Yes, they work. I didn't say that they didn't work. Because all that was achieved was to unpack the archives. As I wrote in the previous post.
I can't translate the game because the game scenario scripts are not decompiled.
If you can deompile them, send me the scenario folder. I don't need any other scripts with proprietary code or game mechanics, just game text.
Or do you know another way to get text from .rpyc files?

I got an issue I hope one of you can help me with.
I kinda like alternating the text in scripts to my liking in several games.
So far I had no issue i couldn't fix with extracting the scripts of those games.
Now I tried it with https://f95zone.to/threads/midnight-paradise-v0-23-elite-lewdlab.25081/post-12238726

But while extracting with unren I only get the .rpyc files, not the corresponding .rpy files where you usually can alter the dialog or text in general.
Is this there a special reason why this doesnt work or can someone give me pointers how i can get the rpy files?

If I understand correctly, you use unren with option 1 which only unpacks RPA files. You need to go back to the menu and choose option 2.
The content in the RPA files is decided by the developer and can decide to include only the compiled ones (RPYC) or also the sources (RPY).
