So here is where I'm at, I'm like 90% certain it's the hard drive that needs to be replaced, the last 10% being the port that connects the hard drive is the one that needs replacing or it's some other unknown. Whenever I try to run a system check it can't finish it because it fails when checking the hard disk. Checked to see if it was caused by something within the USB ports, so unplugged the mouse and turned it on to still having the error. Can't update systems cause hard disk. Basically it has to be that it needs replacing. If I replace it and it still doesn't work then I'm out of luck since nothing I am currently finding in my price range is a suitable enough replacement for one reason or the other.

By the way, I'm having to do more backups/finishing backups on my external hard drive. At the moment everything from my Desktop (which holds most of the mod stuff), Downloads (has the setups for several programs), and Music folders are on it. I will try to do everything off Videos tonight after work and then Documents and Pictures tomorrow.

Looked at the properties of the folders first, Pictures (surprisingly) is the smallest so I'll transfer that next, then it's Videos and then Documents (cause of course Docuementa is the largest, it's got all the games)

Even though the external hard drive has A LOT of space my laptop is still taking forever to copy the files over to it
