I was just starting to dig this game. Saddened to hear chilly quit. Serves all the complainers right but as always everyone suffers.
Suggestion, remove all the shitty trace art and have the one lad with decent art draw static scenes

"See? This game is garbage because they didn't listen to me!"
Kinda like Vince Russo in wrestling. Don't hear nothing but how much of a masterpiece their work is. And they waste so much space with their white noise.
Personally, given how this game has progressed and its history, the best option would be to have a new modder add something to it and the name is given after that. Chilly gave the grandma (and some other stuff) and if we find an artist, I'd like to think they could work on the Demon World and make that the new art style if possible.

Gah! Doing transition frames was a bad idea. Now I have to go insert them into all scenarios, add sound effects, extra dialog, and make sure I don't screw up the script along the way. Not to mention actually drawing the final frames at some point. Haven't even gotten close to treating Chilly's new scenes, either. Hopefully it's worth the effort, eventually.

Dealing with complaints are pretty big part of game development. Most common problem with RenPy games: people use old saves. Almost every game tells you not to, but still half of the forum is full of errors coming from using old saves.
I'm really sad chilly quit, I hope after some healthy raging he will come back. Yeah RPGMVX is an old and pretty barebone engine, but the game has a certain charm and kinkyness I personally really like.

Ren'py is perfectly capable of transferring saves between versions. The devs are just too retarded/lazy to lay out their game before starting development.
Actually not a bad idea. Is the github version clean, or does it have the granny and furry cringe included already?

The GitHub version does not have Granny, Ms. Taylor, or the Easter Eggs as options. It was only Chilly's mod that did.

More than likely, he's going to start the mod, realize it's too hard or something and go fap to cuck porn. I don't really give a damn.
If he actually takes the mod to a different direction, great.
If not, he's all the more the cuck he was known to be. If he's got some ideas he hasn't taken from anyone else, then he can do the mod. Let the naysayers just put up or shut up. Overall, if they can make it better their way, they should do so. But focusing on them just brings your morale down and it's not worth the stress to fight them when they have a lot more to prove than you do.

If you don't want to see certain things in the game, guess what you don't have to fucking interact with them! They are called Easter eggs for a good damn reason. And if you don't want Granny hey don't talk to granny after you meet her so you don't have to see her in the house every evening. Also by the way Grandma wasn't even my idea, it was just a suggestion in the thread that I supported, and github also has her house in it in case you will start modding from there. Heck, you can even fucking mod everything you don't like out your fucking self!! The only reason I called it the "Chilly" update is cause that's what the fucking thread was calling it even before it was done, just thought it would be easy for people to know what to have/download with a simple name like that. And have you checked the Help folder documents for Ms Taylor, Grandma, and the modded scenes? All the stuff made by the other modders are given credit to right fucking there. The game ain't broken, people just don't know what to fucking do cause they don't read and follow directions so every time they have an issue they say it's bugged like the complete morons they are. I don't run the thread so I can't change the OP to give anyone better directions on what to do, all I can do is give them the best directions I can within the posts where all the mod links are. And I didn't make the maps so complain to Nergal not the thread or me! How is the saving system obtuse? You get an item, this item gives you access to a menu, and boom you can save from there. And don't talk about game design or reference it in any fashion until you give us some sense of proof that actually know what the fuck you are talking about! If not, just shut the fuck up your annoying trolling sack of shit!

This game is excellent, why does all the good games face many difficulties to be completed?

Well I'm not a programmer, but it's actually pretty difficult to achieve reliable backward compatibility in RenPy. It have to do something with the definition of variables, but I dont know exactly.
