I know what you mean- I've heard he's been a vicitim of a malicious ex-developer-turned-ebin-haxxxor, who was just jealous of Nergal's succes.
Don't get me wrong.
Nergal gets all the respect from me that i can give.
But there are more people on this site who have a life and have a lot of things going on.(me included).
But a deadline is a deadline and a promise is a promise, and sure life can get in the way of that sometimes but it's a recurring theme with Nergal.
If you can't keep a deadline, then STOP giving out specific deadlines.
If you keep breaking promises, stop giving out promises.
Just say.... I can't give out a specific release date but it's somewhere in Q3..... DONE!
I am a fan and pledge of the first hour of Nergal, but the amount that i am paying is way less then in the beginning because of this.
And i am sure that i am not the only one, and he has only himself to blame for the people who are getting tired of the same sh*t again and again.
Again... I got a lot of respect and love for Nergal, and i feel sorry for the shit that is happening.
But after hearing the same thing over and over, it's getting a little bit old.

I am not pledging next month thats for sure canceling my subscription,I understand he has a life and stuff to do,but so do I and when I get a deadline on my job I complete it no matter what, Its just not worth paying every single month for no new builds plus he said he would make smaller builds for this exact reason and he cant get even that done.
Love his work and Understand he might be going to a hard phase but,he cant even put out a small build in 2 months completely unacceptable.

lol this dude is getting almost 3k per month and he can't even deliver anything in more then 2 months I feel bad for the people paying.

Depression can, unfortunately, become a cycle of self fulfilling prophecy. Giving yourself an ultimatum can sometimes provide motivation. Sometimes, it can instead be fuel for the downward spiral, focusing on consequences of failure as if they have already come to pass.
I don't think any of us want to see this thread become a flame war; every time that happens, important information is lost in the flood of rage posts. Instead, we can keep this all civil, take the opportunity to enjoy everything there is to be found in the game as is, the varied mods available, as well as other games to be found on this site. Also, keeping the thread positive will have a much more beneficial impact than burning it down with hate and rage.
As always; Don't be a dick.

While I do agree with the not start a flame war part I do want to say that, people have every right to be upset and can criticize Nergal because to be fair many of them are spending some of their hard earned money every month for something that keeps getting pushed back,with nergal using the same excuses every time and not giving them anything in return then a monthly message saying: whoops sorry I am too busy good luck next month.

Nergal used to be stellar with his updates and I agree with quite a few people in the fact that he had such a good track record he can drain even longer (although he gives deadlines which is weird while doing it). Unless the post tomorrow is someone else died or of the like I probably will stop supporting it for a while. Who knows if its the end maybe the almighty Chilly will resume mod work on it and things will get finished. Doubt it though Chilly was under massive stress doing it sadly....
Sigh, man, and here I was looking forward to the new Kaylee stuff. Been waiting for it for a while now. Huge letdown. Hopefully things can work out for Nergal and we can get the release not too long in the future. I mean, "sometime in the future" could be next week, in 6 months or who knows how long.

There's only so long "life got in the way" can last until patrons start to un-pledge. I think it would do Nergal well to learn the practice of overestimating how much time you need. People would much rather be given a far away date and recieve a "surprise early release" than this.
Well he can take all the time he needs, I am not complaining cuz I'm not paying for anything but I hope he won't act surprised when he starts losing more and more money.
Nice to know you still mod. I am going to call you almighty because you and I believe GlassFish kept the game alive when Nergal had his issues. Without that I am almost positive Nergal would not have come back period. He was shaky and the love he got while he was gone and your mod I would like to believe brought him back. Titles are earned. I have supported Nergal thus far ($10 tier) is not much but it adds up.
Life does happen which is why I said IF HE HAD A GOOD REASON I would keep supporting him a little longer (at this point i flat out expect another delay even after this next release). If not things are looking awfully shady. I kinda refer it to having a stellar worker that always met deadlines and kept promises and now can not even do the work he says he can do routinely. As with my other post if he wouldn't promise deadlines this would be a lot less dramatic than it has to be.
