Shut down on patreon. I understand that: their site - their rules. But noone take away your game. Just need another way to fund it.
I don't know anything about rules on subscribestar so i can't say anything.
But your own site! Ok people can get together in a crowd and report. Pfff who cares. It's your site - just use another domain.
If you sure that wasn't subscribers than i guess stay with them to fund art for this projects.
For example the game Light Of My Life(that i really love for it's plot). Many people think that girls are ugly. Hah! Moderators even had to set a warning.
I don't know how much patreons you had when all that happens but i think that you can recreate all ideas that you have. Like rebrend for patreon or using another platform. I think previous patreons will find you again by you style. Of course if you still want it.
By the way i've found some rumors when patreon closed their site for many adult-creators that somebody(Was it MrDots?) want to create a platform without such strict rules . I don't know is that idea still alive or not.

Payment processors will then put pressure on whatever platform to shut down any material they don't like. My own domain again would require some sort of payment processing like paypal and so the reports can go through that way. I've thought about this a lot and I'm telling you, due to the actions of some spiteful individuals here, UD can no longer be funded.

Fucking Payment Processors man... the only option you would have would be to reach out to Dick Masterson and his newproject2. That seems to be where people who are basically persona non grata with current places like Patreon and such.

Basing someone's ability on another's ability is completely ridiculous. Some devs are doing this as full time jobs, others are doing it with full teams behind them. You should stop making assumptions about people, you don't know me. "This heart wasn't in it" thing had very little to do with UD and very much to do with where I was mentally at the time. I've always said I will agree my communication for that time was not great and it could have been handled so much better. The only thing that upsets me is people pretending like they know a damn thing, when they obviously don't. Case and point.

Whatever method you can think of, it's unlikely to be realistic. I wouldn't be happy having to work on another game for the sake of updating UD. Even tho UD seems to have good storyline, plot twists at the endings, and paths to choose while progressing in the game which are really fitting and promising. Guess at the end i cant say how many people do LOVE this game since i starting following it on the creation date of this account in F95Zone ;P.

Not much to do about it so whenever the time comes to have UD updates. Let it be the right time *even if takes 2 & 3 years*, but if there's a slight chance that either the people supporting you via patreon or SS even decide to constantly asking you on discord or via other way about UD updates maybe i hope you get that sparkle of be back to deliver a finished version of this game.

Hello there. I just wanted to pay my respects to NergalsNest . He was one of the devs that made me want to give it a try with this whole porn-game-making stuff.

I'm not gonna talk about "what's going on" because sadly I'm not up to date with the current developments and i don't want to speak from ignorance. But I'm going to say this:
Even if I love this forum (It was the first place where I uploaded my games) and even if I got to know a lot of precious people, there's no denying that there is a large portion of folks that would prefer to ruin a man's whole career by mass reporting him, ill-criticizing, name-calling and just being plane "meanies", when there's something they don't like (Even if it would be easy to simply ignoring him and go support other devs).

There is a bad (and sad) side to the whole porn game community (that also goes outside the boundaries of this forum). A mentality that, when something isn't ready by their own time and specifications (or unjust comparisons with other (bigger) dev teams' work) then everything about the game and the game's dev s wrong. I call it a "crack-head" mentality. Everything is fine and good as long as they got their "fix", but when there is a time when they got to wait for it, they prefer to go kill their dealer... Well, maybe this whole allegory is a little far fetched. But I think you guys get my drift (if you get my drift)

I was also reported by some angry fans. Had to take my game outta Patreon. But I think I made it work in the end... (for now).

Regardless... I think I only wanted to say: Nergal, you will always have a place in my heart...

Misguided opinion is more like it. UD is still getting a final update, I meant it's not coming back as a project. If you want to know why, maybe ask a few members here why they thought it would be a good idea to mass report the patreon to stop it being possible as a project. You talk about greed / profit, but you don't seem to grasp how projects actually work? Art costs money, and people fapping to my projects won't keep them going either. I hope that clears things up.

Not really misguided When you really should treat people who supported you on Urban Demons with a lil more respect & courteously & I do know how projects work I been working on mine for some time now. I know art costs money so does encoding storylines & working with the tools on RPG Maker. Your patreon was also held up for months to a year before you became wild swing for whatever reason is none of my business to get into. Not all people are bad some like to mass report because they are trolls & they do not like to see progress. I'm just a fan of Urban Demon's Your work not attacking you in any way if my posts may seem like it. However, you should have really said yes UD is getting a final update instead of not working on UD in your reply to another person on patreon. I don't make a habit of going off on people but when I need to say something I say it despite the consequences & it does not matter if you agree with me or not I made my point & my peace & I will not be giving any more replies or posts on your UD page.

Hey! Thanks for that. I really appreciate hearing that I inspired you to create something awesome! (I'm assuming it's awesome, I haven't actually played yet. In fact I wasn't aware of it until you were just tagged in it! But it looks really cool, and I want to give it a try!)

I think you definitely hit the nail on the head in terms of the (minor, but very loud part) of the community as a whole. And I think the whole "crack-head" analogy can be quite apt actually, for some people specifically.

I'm sorry to hear you went through something similar, it's such a shame they have such a group can ruin it for the majority of people who just enjoy the game and want to see it do well!

Man people be so tilted, if the game is abandoned, nothing anyone will say can change that. My only regrets are the bugs and that's it, but still the game was so good I forgive most of it's flaws. It helps that I didn't pay for it, I can understand some people being miffed, but there is a limit.
