Yes, I think the metagame could use a little deepening, and recent poll with my patrons confirmed that those who don't play in VN mode would appreciate a little deeper gameplay. I do, however, must always bear in mind that no one wants to lose pussy in a porn game due to bad management skills, so I must be very careful when introducing additional "non-sex" features.
On the one hand I understand some players desire for a more detailed management style.... But fuck them!!! Why???
Because the game caters to a much wider audience... Shit there were even players of the current version as is and they fuck their own playthrough up via poor choices...
And now there are persons asking for more technicals to make it harder!!!... Mind you outside of vn's I love management sims...
So harder isn't a problem for me... plus players are asking the dev(Outside of patrons) to take away time from developing the HOTTT SHIT!!!

This is always my issue when I see people ask for more complex "X", be it gameplay or choices...... sounds great, adds a crap ton of development time that slows releases.

I would rather they spend time on story/content rather than mechanics myself.

I would estimate that new metagame features (recent are Fame and before that the Shadow Institute various functions) typically take one hour per version. I.e. even with my mediocre coding skills, they are extremely easy to implement and are barely time consuming.

The reason I'm not adding more is that I believe in "evolution over revolution" sort of development; I prefer to add small changes and see how they affect the game and gradually increase their impact rather than introduce big one and discover that they break the balance.

Fame is a good example: introduced in version 0.8 I feel the effects of high and low Fame are too weak to be a factor in anyone's playstyle so I intend to modify them a bit for 0.10 to see if metagame players notice. But adjusting statistics is literally 5 minutes work and (sadly) this is the only metagame change in 0.10.

The rest is sex and story.

All good, I just hate to see Devs burn out trying to please everyone. As long as it doesn't involve you learning some new esoteric coding or sending yourself stark raving mad have at it.

So far I am loving the game, are you looking to do a Steam release anytime soon?

1. No plans for ditching the R/P/S. System. In a recent *poll I held, my patrons (surprisingly, I'll admit) said they liked it.

2. You can skip the R/P/S combat and instantly win it by clicking the chicken button.

3. If you didn't play for a long time I made two significant changes in the system: the opponents are now animated and their animation will hint at the upcoming attack, but you'll have to learn (preferably while in Defense mode) what each "hint" means. The second change was the removal of Subdue option: all subduable opponents are now not-killed automatically.

4. To be honest, I do think the R/P/S combat can be improved, but the "typical" RPG turn based combat is not only boring (IMHO) but takes much longer time (I think an R/P/S combat takes about 20 seconds). I'm open to ideas how to improve the R/P/S system without making it too complex. The nerd in me whines that the R/P/S is more realistic as well: in melee you attempt to guesstimate what your opponent will do and counter it.

*The numbers don't seem to add to 100% because it's part of a bigger poll with more options regarding Fiefdom management.
Personally, I like the R/P/S system. It's fun for me to try and figure out the upcoming attacks from the telegraphs. AND it's different from all the other games I've played! That's another big plus for me.

I've been ping-ponging with them since early August. Mostly due to my inability to follow basic instructions, to be honest. The latest (hopefully last) episode was that after approving my ravishment and bestiality saves I've sent them, they demand to see saves of gay and incest scenes. Funny shit.

Anyway, I hope to finish this red tape saga in a few days and open a store on Steam. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

0.10 is almost upon us! What are we looking at?
  • Features:
    • This is the second largest release ever
    • New world map! Pretty!
    • Smoother dungeon revisits - for a long time, revisiting a Wench in the dungeon was an awkward replay of her initial scene, no matter how many times you have visited her. For version 0.10 I have revised all the “revisit dungeon” flows so they now make more sense and the stitches are less crude.
    • Sexual Violence by default off. This is important: While I have no intention of reducing “questionable” content in the game, moving to Steam means I want the dominance aspects of the game to be “opt in”. In order to do that I have added a “Sexual Violence” fetish in the settings which is off by default. While it’s off, you’ll never see the option for Dominance in your quest, be able to send the Wench to the dungeon or Ravish her after battle. In order to play normally, simply switch the Sexual Violence to On and you’ll be able to decide how to proceed in each moral junction.
    • As always, original soundtrack for the fiefdom!

  • Story:
    • Continuation of the meta story with the Karder/Jada scene you have all been waiting for!
    • Explore the superstitious fiefdom of Geoyanguk, where sombre Bell Tollers hunt the mystic Shrieks, and try to get out alive!

Release Schedule:
  • Tiers 30$/50$: September 22nd
  • Tier 20$: September 24th
  • Tier 10$: September 26th
  • Tier 5$: September 28th
  • Public release: September 30th

Saves since v0.4.7 are supported. Though saves from the old versions (pre-v0.7.x, possibly even pre-v0.8.x) are often touchy and may need a one-off scripts.rpa, available on request, to load without a traceback. You can always try a different save as well.

Saves from the current version, v0.9.7 / v0.9.9, are fully compatible with v0.10.x.

So, finally it's here. Dev, I wanted to ask this. Putting sexual ravishment type things optional is fine, we can just turn that on and be on our way. However, you don't plan on removing ravishment and dominance in future, do you? That would be terrible. I really like the sexual dominance things in this game.
