I think he was just asking if theres something new since Alpha 2 and the answer is NO... nothing concrete from Meshed about VAM 2.0 since October... seems to me he should do an update soon... one update every 6 months aint good PR.

MeshedVR released quited a couple of updates for VaM since the last v2.x tech demo (5 updates for VaM 1.x since last November), so that has probably taken a lot of time from working on version 2. Also there have been a lot of updates from him as well about what's currently happening with the version 2 development, it's just nothing he posts on Patreon, but mostly on Discord.

By the time it's released, my high end PC today will be embedded SoC. However, it was nice to see an update regardless.
Hilarious to see the one reply currently that says "Please take care of yourself and don't push yourself too hard." My brother in Christ, if they go any slower, VAM will start reverting changes.
Yeah, and seeing the progress chart posted...there is a looooot of stuff left to do. Its been more than 5 years. We will see VaM 2 when GTA VII comes out

well if you think about it nearly every good change is added by third party plugins and scripts so when the new game comes out and all of them have to be remade it will indeed be a big step back.
should run orders of magnitude faster on any system. vam1 is on an ancient unity version. its a miracle the cloth even has gpu accel
addon kit looks cool but why is meshedvr showing it off with an ugly bastard dwarf? I mean given what the defalt characters look like it explains a lot

Perhaps he did that to showcase the detail that can be achieved. And how better to do that than using complex and varied models.
