This is weird. As soon as I bought the upgrade for Forplay and for the next 5 revolutions of the stage after the only thing that came up was Foreplay on all five of my booths.

I dont have any Pictures of the girls, I've downloaded some and they do not show they all have portrait.jpg/portrait_small.jpg or portrait.png/portrait_small.png inside the images Folder.

Make sure that your game folder is not in a weird path, preferably in C: . The game seems to not like that for some people.

That is weird indeed. Did it work later ? It could just be that you're incredibly "unlucky". Like a one in a billion thing...

Thanks for considering donating! Happy to read that you enjoy the game. Hopefully getting rid of the Patreon will help me get back working on it.

I'm currently stuck in a "no motivation to work on the game" phase, hoping that it will end soon. As you can guess, this heavily impacts the progress on the next update, but I don't intend to stop working on the game. At worst, I'll just take a break of a few weeks and come back to it.

I also think that if I were to abandon the game (which I don't intend to do at any point at this moment), I'll at least make the source code available for others to work on, if someone is interested.

I bought a module booth and set it to Pose. The next five rotations had Pose, Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay. Bought the 6th booth, and then it went Pose, Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay, Dance for the next 4 to 5 rotations. Went up to Oral and set them all random, and I still had Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay, Foreplay, Dance. Went up to Sex and now finally it seems the booths are truly back to random. Weird. For a large part of my current game with some new girls loaded, I was stuck at Foreplay for a really long time.

No, it doesn't. It would be a good idea to add a "reset girl button" though. It's going on the list.
In the meantime, if you want to see lessons, you can press Ctrl+D in the lounge to see a list of all lessons for the girls. This is a debug command and can cause problems with your save file, so I wouldn't recommend saving after using it.

My expectation would be that at least one of them triggers a reload of the json, so developing/updating the json is actually reflected in the game without the need to close, reopen, reload and find the girl again.

The Repair, as you say, rereads the JSON file for that girl, and if you change if a girl can do or can not do a certain act updates while in game.
If you say change the stat values (openness, popularity etc..) of a girl and use repair, those stat values will not update.
Stat values are only updated from start of game, for the girls you have not hired yet. If you have hired the girl and she has worked and changed her values, those values are stored in your save file which the game will use... hope this makes sense.

A Reset however takes the stats (openness, popularity etc...) And regardless of the values in the save file, set them back to the JSON values.
However I can only seem to get it to work with the inbuilt girls to the game and not Girlpacks, so could be a bug.

Like I said, my expectation (user story) is that one of the buttons reloads the json at runtime (while the game is opened). At this moment they work the same for me, and one of them resets to the values in the buffer, not to a fresh reload.
So Tobe needs to implement something like a File.open() or File.read() or similar (I'm way behind on C#).

Basically it creates a second folder when unpacked. So click on the girl pack ( remy for instance) folder when unpacked and you have a folder again named the same, it is that second folder that contains all you need so put that in to the girls pack folder in the venus club folder.
hopefully my explaination makes sense.

often when extracting the .zip, the file is stored in the girlpack like this: girlspack/august ames/august ames/. They must therefore make a copy of the images, json_data, texts and videos folder to paste it in the previous folder and delete the second august ames folder.

Easiest way to unpack 99% of the girlpacks?
1st: Download *.zip/*.rar directly to "\Girlpacks" folder.
2nd: Just open the file and check if you see a folder with <whatever girl name>. For 99% that's the case. Close it again.
3rd: R. click on *.zip/*.rar file and select "unpack here"!
4th: You'll now have Venus's Club\Girlpacks\whatever girl name\
Problem solved! Yeah yeah yeah! And all is well and we smile, drink etc, etc...

So... No!!! Do not r. click select "unpack to <whatever girl name> folder". This will get you Venus's Club\Girlpacks\whatever girl name\whatever girl name\ .

Only use "unpack to <whatever girl name> folder", in the VERY rare case of the 1% where the creator didn't follow the regular upload method and only packaged the underlying content maps with files.

Never thought I would ever feel the need to explain this.

Can we not transfer our save files over to the new version? I've been looking through the files but I don't see any save files.

Save files are stored in your main computer drive...
"C:\Users\**user_name**\AppData\LocalLow\Tobe\Venus's Club"
Not stored in Game folder so hopefully your saves should not get lost with a update or folder delete.
An update links to this folder, so you should not need to transfer or swap over, but best to backup these just in case you save over the wrong save file.

But most often you'll end up downloading full vids from pornleech/kat/rarbg etc and use something like AVC (Any Video Converter) to cut the parts you want to use for your pack.

Scenes don't have to be longer than 15-20 sec. And please, please save the scenes in *.WEBM (VP8) format? Unity works more stable with this format especially for people with low end PC.
