Well that's because its actually against the rule to discuss other works in a topic that is not theirs - so openly discussing BaDIK's similarity to College Kings in the College Kings thread is breaking that, It is also a well-known fact and can easily derail the topic leading to many other rule breaks. It is easier to nip it in the bud at the start.
But I get you... it seems some rules are enforced a lot more on certain threads, for certain games than they are for others
