3) There is NO mention of "Slow Burn" in any post by the Dev. The AVN Game (ViBC) never has been and never will be a "slow burn" AVN, and it doesn't need to be. These are your own words and assumptions. The story and scenes are only going to get better, and continue from the last version ViBC 0.55! And, the main story line and direction is NOT changing, but somehow you keep misunderstanding this and assuming it is, so that's on you. -

4) The Dev does NOT need to justify anything to you, or anyone. The Dev is simply being courteous and responding to try to help you understand, but for whatever odd reasons you may have, you seem to keep assuming things, and continue making rude and insulting comments because again, you keep failing to understand the clear and simple announcement made by the Dev about the coming improvements in the new remastered version of the game. 5) Matching sound effects for select hot scenes sounds awesome to me, and many people would love it! But if you don't care for sound you can simply mute all sound, which is easy to do in RenPy, if that's an issue for you. Personally, I think the story is really good and interesting so far and I'm personally free to find my way with Victoria...if I don't want any relationships with the men in the game I should be free to ignore them and not be forced to to do some things that I don't want to do and so far it's going really well and I hope it stays that way (if not then this game wouldn't be for me anymore) So Dev... keep it up... calmly build a pleasant story where every player gets what they might be looking for and as long as nothing is forced... I personally find everything else unpleasant and I think I would be there not the only one

That dev took the unusual decision to launch his game in steam for free, everybody else put a price once they are approved there. But, instead, he released the first versions for free, with a good amount of content, and because of that he got a bigger number of players. Then, he asked for support in patreon and he released the new updates behind a paywall, he got a lot of patrons that way. He has more than 1600 patrons right now, starting later than you.

Here the most of the people are pirates, almost nobody will support you. In steam there's a significant bigger percentage of players willing to support you. You could try to contact him and asking him for advise. He also translated his game in several languages with the help of his patrons and fans, that was very important too for his growth. Also, you should tell your patrons to write reviews since the first day of release, that's very relevant to get more visibility.

By the way, I'm not convinced with the new title, this is an erotic game, the title should be more direct, so the people can identify its genre quickly. A Seductive Life in the Big City... Something like that could be better.

As The Dev mentioned in his previous posts, getting on Steam is already planned and in the works, which is great, and I agree with you on that. As for IoM, the Dev is awesome! I been a long time supporter on Patreon and still support IoM to this day, as well as other Devs / Creators I like, although the remastering took a while along with the additional translations added, the Dev for IoM did a great job.

Nevertheless, my favorite AVN Game of all time is Victoria in Big City (ViBC), and I trust it's going to get even better! ;-)

However, the stories between ViBC and IoM are very different, except the one part about a girl moving to a Big City. The new rebranding and title make perfect sense based on the announcement posted by the Dev, Groovers Games. Identifying a genre of an AVN Game is usually found via Tags associated with the game itself. It's pretty clear, Groovers Games is in this for the long term and has a pretty solid plan to make the experience for everyone even better, and this is very exciting! I'm definitely looking forward to the new remastered version of ViBC coming in July 2024. I believe it's going to be awesome! Cheers!

I'm glad you addressed your points respectfully this time around. This is appreciated. Also, there is no hate on my part. I simply replied to what was posted relating to incorrect assumptions that misrepresented the facts about ViBC, and I will always call out anyone to protect any Dev / Creator I support on here or any platform when they are being treated wrongfully.

With that said, thank you for responding respectfully, and I'm glad you got your answers from the Dev as well. Like I said before, we can all do better when we communicate with each other. Life is too short to be negative. On a final note, I'm definitely looking forward to the new remastered version of ViBC. Cheers!

I'll be honest and say that I don't like the pushback in comments like above. In my opinion, games should be used for entertainment and fun, not to cause negative emotions.
I will not get emotional about them, I just ask you to be patient and wait until the new update.

No, the statistics will not be useless. They will just be a little different, but they will have an impact on future available events.

There is a reason why this plot appeared, but when and how and if it will happen at all, these are matters of plot and it makes no sense for me to describe it beforehand and give away the story.


It depends on what to wait for. For an update until July (I hope nothing unexpected happens).
As for other things, I will try to make sure that with each new part something interesting will appear. There are several plots and characters in the game, and I can promise that there will be more. And each thread and quite a few characters will bring something to Victoria's life.


Season one will end after ten episodes. Of course, the first one will be the biggest because it will contain everything that has happened so far plus new scenes. When exactly season one will end I won't answer, because I don't know.


I don't know if I caught all the questions if not then I apologize.
Finally, I will say that I don't really understand the negative attitude towards the upcoming new version of the game before its release.
It will not be a revolution or anything spectacular. It will simply be improved with certain issues, fixed minor bugs and some additions. The story will certainly not slow down, and it will only develop and there will be more and more hot scenes.

I will try my best to bring you the best fun I can.

Most likely we will have to start from scratch to avoid bugs with the code changes in the remaster .

Anyway... my point remain.. since the fact that a S2 is planned ... create a new version with the end this s1 and start the S2 with flashbacks about how Vic and other characters was in the past should be the best way without remaster the whole season... (if as you say the paths wlll not be changed)

Forget to say I always usa an app for adjust the amount of transparence in the text box... this requires just a few seconds... and can be done without remastering as you can see in this pic

reducing textbox opacity is the first thing i always do before start any game that comes with the renpy default textbox!


and there is also an official file-mod that you can put in the game folder it is y_outline.rpy and it works in almost all renpy games
you can try it...
I prefer to edit the text box inside the game but there are games packed in ".rpa"... so this file works for that games where the text box can't be edited without unpack rpa!

Try it.. it requires less than 1 sec.

I was also talking about the decision of remastering a game that it is very near to be at the end of S1 IMO

There is no need to remastering the S1 to me
Music and sound can be added without any delay

Your suggestions are appreciated. However, based on the announcement from the Dev, the plans already mentioned are moving forward, so everyone will see when the new remastered version comes out. I believe it will be very well done.

Also, from my understanding the opacity control feature on the textbox will be part of the improvements. The default textbox is rather annoying in RenPy and other platforms as well. I totally agree with you on this. I enjoy AVN Games without the annoying textbox. Cheers!
