Absolutely SPOT-ON. I've been the outside guy before and NOT ONCE have I EVER thought about being a husband/boyfriend, to any woman. And given the one sided laws that exist, I dont even want them in my house. Yes. I said it. I will rather remain the bull in this situation and have the husband/boyfriend pay for the upkeep (and he's also the one to get fucked in the divorce. He's a dumb-ass all around.)

xcrash - you say that female sexuality is misunderstood by men but yet your explanation is really good.
(I also noticed that you placed some words here and there to make it seem like you were fair and 'equal' because you didn't want to make it seem like you were calling women out. Its a sign of the times when you can't call shit for what it is.)
I didn't call them out because I like women who are sex-positive and unashamed of their sexuality. I think it is hot AF.

I think it's a great punishment for making bad decisions. Babysitter's Robert was a constant looming threat and if I made a bad choice, I could risk him smashing my hoes.

This is actually why I like NTR, myself. As a gameplay mechanic, avoidable NTR does add a certain degree of challenge that can keep the player invested in what they're (not?) doing within the game.

I have mixed feelings about NTR tbh. I'm not a fan and I don't like being humiliated without options to do something about it. When I can do something to prevent it I'm good.
If I'm not too invested in the story/MC I just want to watch the sex, doesn't matter who fucks. :)

Has to be well implemented, not just drop on another cock because I didn't eat dinner.

I don't mind per se but I don't like being forced into. I do like the idea of it being used as a "punishment" for bad play. But not sure what would constitute bad play. I'd want to know that up front so I could play to avoid it.

I love seeing a hot chick debase herself with some old dude even when she has a fit young husband. I play that game about corrupting Anne or whatever and Hard News. I never ever sleep with the BF lol I always bang the old dudes. IDK why. I can play those games over and over just for that.

But if I was playing DMD for example and I was forced to be tied up and watch D get banged by someone after two years of playing that game I'd be pretty furious. So in the end it all depends I guess.

I do hate the big hung black guy NTR trope that steals your white wife. IT IS TIRED.

I like when the gameplay and the porn interact. I was playing one game where the FMC puts themselves into sketchy situations to earn money through part time jobs and support her husband, but money did practically nothing. The landlord would coerce the FMC into sex because the FMC couldn't afford to pay rent, which in the story motivated the FMC to be more desperate for money, but gameplay-wise there was no option to pay the landlord. If there was the option, I probably wouldn't have taken it, but the absence of actual gameplay felt like wasted potential to me.

Btw I do like when instead of just having one rougte the games offer choices between dom and sub, or between chad and sissy, or between ntr and non-ntr, because even if I only go through one of the routes, that I chose what happens to me enhances the experience.

I only tend to like netorare games with female protagonists because you're not really playing as the guy that would otherwise be getting humiliated. If it is a game where you play as a male protagonist and you're being humiliated without a chance to fight back then I'll probably hate it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that that is why I like NTR, myself, but yeah… I'd say that avoidable NTR is sometimes tolerable, sometimes even good and can make the game more fun, as long as I can play it well.

I'm genuinely surprised that no one has ever talked about the other possibility. I like NTR and Netorare simply because I don't care. It's a porn game. I'm good with girls in real life, currently have a girlfriend etc etc. Seeing NTR in games has absolutely zero effect on me because it's fake and I simply don't care.

How about a game where the protag's woman is too scared to cheat on him because she knows he would go and fuck other women easily.

But seriously though, who cares.

You can say the same of guro, but you don't tend to see much of that.

Personally, because works of fiction and the characters within are arguably built and exist for the sake of the readers, I can't help but feel like fantasies where the MC is loved or has power over others are sort of vanilla for my tastes.

You can. It's kind of dangerous mentality you are presenting here dude. That would mean that we should stop... hating furries. It's hard to imagine how tragic consequences to the online community would that cause. Be careful what you wish for!
I fail to see how not hating people for liking something harmless that doesn't affect anyone is a dangerous mentality.

Like with furries. It's a kink. It's fiction. Why does it bother you that somebody likes something you don't?

Personally, I think that may have been sarcasm.

Perhaps, similar to unionization, it's a way for some men to protect their sexual investment against competition and deny women the sexual adventures that they crave but a patriarchal and puritanical society forces them to deny.
Maybe, but it goes both ways.
When marrying, both the man and the woman have entered into a social contract to be exclusive to each other and to take care of each other in all respects.
This brings a lot of benefits. The man will know for sure that his children are actually his and that he is not spending time and money on somebody else's kids. The woman will know that the man will put food on their table and protect them from any danger. Since the emancipation of women and the reduction of outside dangers, this last bit has diminished quite a bit, and maybe that's why this social contract is under some pressure. Nevertheless the concept of the nuclear family has proven immensely successful over the years and much more so than other concepts, including matriachy or patriachy (in the harem sense).

So, yeah, in my opinion, refraining from sexual adventures does have advantages.
And, in the end, such sexual adventures are like going to a really good restaurant: it tastes great, but when you have eaten it, it's gone. It doesn't last.

Netorare is the female power fantasy. Everything is about sex (her sexuality in context), except sex. Sex is about power (over others). She is the prize, and every swinging dick in the vicinity is willing to fight and (possibly literally) kill for a piece of her ass. If a 'bull' succeeds, then it means the 'cuck' is obviously at fault for being inadequate in some way (which is retroactively cited to justify betraying him). If the 'cuck' prevails, then his feelings regarding what could have been means he'll either overcompensate to preempt a future betrayal or immediately end their relationship (thereby officially freeing her sexual agency) if he believes it is beyond salvation. So, the female gets to "embrace her sexuality" yet also stands to benefit regardless of the end result. Quite a tempting proposition, I must admit.
If two men fight over a woman, and the winner gets to fuck her, then where is her agency? Or her power?
It seems that she's just a sex toy, an object. And the end result is very close to rape, either way.

I'm not saying it can't be enjoyable for a woman, but it's not a power fantasy, it's a sub fantasy.

If the woman were to actively seek out her bull and aggressively come after him, that would be different, but then the cuck is more or less inconsequential.

Netorare imo has always been intended for people putting themselves in the shoes of the cucked male protagonist. The idea of a decent man getting their partner or significant other prefer a nasty mofo with horse cock over him turn them on. Those who wanted to see corruption of pure female or self-insert into the antagonist already got their kink covered by female protag dedeat rape games.

I'm not a fan of NTR, it just makes me feel bad. And even if a game has avoidable NTR, well I like playing slutty characters who have lots of sex so that's generally not compatible with avoiding the NTR.

Now I would be absolutely fine with characters who are in an open relationship and doing swinger stuff or whatever - that could be appealing.

I would maybe even take it a step further and say the adventures would be similar to the "unhealthy food" that's high in cholesterol or something, that you might regret eating sooner or later. But that's just my take.

Netorare imo has always been intended for people putting themselves in the shoes of the cucked male protagonist.
Except that the cuck barely had a role in the old-school NTR stuff in Japan. The hardcore cuckolding fixation and the weirdass raceplay aspects we see today were more of a western thing, even though they have been seeping into the japanese works over time, too.

NTR was originally pretty much a parody/deconstruction of shounen romance. You know, these manga where you have a male MC and a heroine, and they share this extremely idealized, pure puppy love for each other, but it takes about 300 chapters before they even hold hands. And then hentai artists came along and thought "wouldn't it be funny if we introduce a completely awful character and take the girl away, perverting the 'pure love always wins' theme of shounen romance into 'big dick always wins'." That's why the initial NTR stuff were doujins based on shounen romance manga and dating sims that used the same tropes. NTR then became the #1 genre for corruption sickos like me, because you didn't just have the usual "pure heroine gets corrupted" scenario, you had a second layer of "pure love gets corrupted and destroyed" on top of it.

My main problem with the term nowadays is that it has become so fuzzy in online discussions. When you have some erotic work where the heroine accidently grazes the arm of another man than her bf/husband, people already scream "NTR!!". The insistence on western boards that NTR is exactly the same as cuckolding also doesn't help and always makes me wonder "why not use the english term, instead of the japanese term with a broader or even different meaning?"
