go to the renpy site, download the renpy 8 SDK. Install it. Then throw whatever windows only renpy game's game folder into the SDK folder and run renpy.app. It'll run whatever game you want. Some games are still built on renpy 7, so there's a separate SKD for that.

You open the Win/PC version, go to game folder, check script version (text document), then go to the Ren'Py website, match the numbers, download the SDK, extract it, place the extracted game folder in the that folder, run the SDK, and it will show the name of the game folder, then click on it, it will scan it, now you can play or build.
Here is a guide of sorts, just ignore anything about repack and pretend it says whatever the name of the game it is you have.
