I don't think it would be good to add a female protagonist until the story with the male protagonist is finished. The characters in this VN have some depth, so I expect that most of the events with the female protagonist would be very different, which means a lot of work and a lot of time. There is already a lot of branching, which definitely requires a lot of work. As I've said before (I think), paths will merge again once chapter 2 starts and you will then be able to woo the other ship's crew, although the berserker path can ONLY be reached if you're a pure warrior (no scholar nor scholarrior)On a more serious note: I hope you plan to merge the paths sometime soon again. Since I refuse to deviate from the one true path that is the berserker, I'm missing so much content!

Rendering time is really random. Sometimes, an image you think would be complex takes only a few minutes to render, sometimes, you just have one character badly lit and it takes two hours full CPU (instead of GPU) for crappy result

My advice, for people who would like to give it a try, is to save several times the same scene but with only one or two characters at once and then put them back together using some graphic editor software (I personally use paint.net for most of my postwork).
It's more work, but it actually can be faster. Also, once you get a setting you like for a scene, you can save it, and load it again for any other image in that scene, so they look uniform.
