Unreal Engine Virago - (Foot Fetish Femdom Bully Game In Unreal Engine)

Eh sure... let's go with that explanation then... Regardless, the point still stands it's a bit too soon for it and you're getting way ahead of yourself, since before that you should:
  1. Get your game and name know out there, by...
  2. Providing some more demos with more content.

Well that's one way to put it. If you can clearly understand what other developers do to attract more support, why not try to do that then? Just because you want to stick to doing things your own way? Sure it's your game after all so you're free to handle it however you wish... but if doing things your way means that your project may never get enough traction and end up failing, then I dunno what to tell you anymore, because I'll repeat that I want the game to be successful but from a player's perspective it's not appealing enough right now.

Oh yes I totally compared you to a bulding full of hundreds of professional game developers, yep absolutelly! </sarcarsm>
Damn, like do you really have to ask that my friend? The fact that you did makes me shiver a bit... Anyways, since you missed the point that I tried to make there, I'll try to explain it again but this time more simplified:
  1. You make a post in a adult game site, showing a game that you're working on.
  2. After a while of you continuing to work on said adult game, it still has zero content that would categorize it as an adult (porn) game being advertised/posted in a porn site.
  3. All that players currently have are your descriptions (in other words, promises) to go by, of what may or may not be in the game in the future, which doesn't give us any solid sample of how you'll implement said fetish into the game, so we don't even know if the potential foot fetish content will be any good or worthwhile.
  4. Currently there is only a short trample animation, so I said that this alone doesn't paint a good picture of this game having adult content for potential supporters, since other games that aren't even porn games have said type of animation, so I used the Tekken game as a comparative example of a game that has trample but you don't see anyone claiming that it is an adult game because of that.
  5. Thus the ultimate point was: I told you that what attracts people to your project (since you posted the game on this site) are porn content because that's what people are here to see, but since there is none because you want to focus on gameplay stuff first, then I proposed that your game might as well not be posted here, but instead on a normal game forum and be made as a sfw brawler, which would attract the normal players who do not care for porn content there.

It's good that you realize that, so then perhaps start smaller? Lower your ambitions a bit so that you can actually carry on forward with the development. This is my whole main point of these posts really: you're trying to make a whole huge game 1st thinking that it will attract fans on descriptions alone. Try to keep the scope small and perhaps change your focus a bit towards the proper foot fetish systems, at least having some basic implementation of it so that people can see not only how you'll depict foot fetish in your game, but also see that you're serious and someone worth supporting.
I get all that and thanks for taking the time to go deeper into explaining what you meant, I just don't have super resources other than what I'm capable of making in UE but I also have this strange quirk that I just can't work on something small, when I make something I put all my energy into it, creating something small to just gather enough money to then move on to something else just doesn't give me the good vibes.
I used to play some of Tastysox's games on itch.io, I always had this feeling that the games he makes are great, loved the content and always wanted to go out and explore more but then he just brought the game to a close and moved on to making a new game. Guess that's his style but I felt he could've done so much more with Avril's Ex, Yellow Socks and the latest Smelly Adventure. Now he's making a kind of dating sim for his characters? Sure but, just not how I wish to approach the game I'm making, I wish to make it's content deep in the end, so there is satisfaction to be had in the small as well as big things. I'm not there yet, true, but it's where I plan to take the game.

So yes I'm taking your advise to heart, dug around a bit in Unreal and tried to make the trampling finisher more cinematic and in your face, the way GOT tends to do, I'll do that with all other animations like this: foot worship, trampling/stomping, choking, giantess crushes etc.
Here is what I've been working on to getting it right, this scene will happen when certain conditions are met. Like this being the last enemy in the room. Need to polish this move more, maybe even add facial animations to it to have it appear more brutal.
Will try focusing more on feet in the future, absolutely.

P.s. Deleted GoFundMe, stupid move, just a try, didn't work out.

Excellent premise! Keep up with the good work :)
Just an idea but I think it would be awesome to see her genius friend produce a special potion that can enhance Ashley's foot pheromones. It could make her foot smell a really powerful weapon in corrupting/enslaving victims to her will, making them totally loyal to her feet. Mind control and feet are a really powerful combo c:
Thank you, mind control, not sure what that would look like in-game but it's definitely worth considering if I'm able to think of some great scenes. ))

Y'all really don't want this to be a scam, huh?
What's with the scam thing, just because I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to creating foot fetish games or games in general and how to make a proper budget for it to get help so as to improve on the game doesn't make it a scam lol. I think.:ROFLMAO:

Correct. I really hope that this is not a scam because the concept of the game is really nice.

But yes, currently the overall impression is not the best for this project. Maybe it is a scam, or maybe it is not a scam and the dev is just inexperienced? I dunno...

1 month since the last dev post tough...

Anyone else still following the thread?

Damn, so I guess it was a scam after all? Viraginis last activity was in september...

Such a shame because the concept of an action game centered around foot fetish is awesome and I was going to fully support it. But I guess it is as people say: when something looks too good to be true... it's probably fake :(

 Not fake still very much alive, was too busy graduating then became ill due to all the stresses. But at least I graduated summa cum laude, really happy the hard work paid off.

Sad to see everyone assume the game is a scam so quickly.
Not much more to say honestly, just glad I got my diploma, so I'll be continuing to post again regularly about the game and it's progress. Have already. Now that the city is more or less ready, I'll be focusing on foot fetish only this coming year. Will be trying to get as much foot fetish in there as is possible. Either way, I won't waste too much time talking here because I've found it to be unproductive. If you want to check the game, I'll be over on Patreon and only post the interesting bits here like when I have loads of foot fetish content ready like, trailers and stuff. But that won't be as often.

Viraginis Can you link to stuff you've made before this? I see drawings and animations on your patreon and I wanted to check your other stuff out but I don't see any links to anything like deviantart or itch.io (searched virago on the latter and didn't find anything) so it would be nice to get that, maybe you could even just add it to your signature so everyone can find it easily.

Oh and also people naturally think it's a scam because if you ever get into pretty much anything with a patreon etc. it will 9/10 times be a scam wether it was planned to be one or not. People have big ideas and get bored or break under the pressure and just retreat (or actually malicious people scamming on purpose of course). You can look up yandere dev on youtube and find many videos to have a good example for what happens most of the time, I personally watched the one from "The Right Opinion" but that is an unreasonably long video since it goes into ALL of the details.

So the ONLY thing you can do about this is to just make the game and at some point in development when there is enough content and you've done this for long enough people will believe you when you say you want to make the game.
Imagine it being like having lots of wolves as pets, while giving them attention (talking to people in forums and stuff) will keep them from attacking for a while, they will be ready to tear you to shreds at any point untill theres enough meat on the table.
Don't blame the cynics though they are all past scam victims.

Hm, yes you're right, it's understandable.
I do have a deviantart and VK, I'm usually over on VK since I like the website it's easy to use, I also got insta though it's not super active and Twitter and OK.ru. Now that I've graduated I got more free time to talk in forums and with people, so will definitely be doing that more.

Will post them all here, mostly I'm on VK if people wish to chat. :)

Some of the websites I'm on mostly, I got more but I'm not super active on those.
Will add these to my signature, probably a smart move.;)
I've heard about Yandere dev, wait he stopped? Was he a scam? Thought he teamed up with some big game devs?
Right now I'm working on improving the foot fetish animations, trying to make the trampling finisher more appealing which I've finished working on today, the foot push over is next, will be starting to fix that tomorrow, then from the 20th to end of the month I'll be focusing on a fancy new femdom animation I've been planning for some time now, hope you all will like it, you'll be able to use James the foot-pet, you know, Ashley's nerdy doggy.:sneaky:

You're right, I'll just have to keep adding and adding new things, might take some time to build trust and flesh out the game, but it's getting there.

Hi AshleyVirago,

I checked in to see about your game, I can only try and offer some basic advice from my limited experience. (I am pretty new too, but published a 0.1 in April) Even before 0.1, I was kind of active on this forum and trying to talk on forums that I thought might be catered towards my audience. Just to get some credibility on the site here so if I tried a game, maybe people would be less skeptical. I focused a lot on that in February 2020 or so onwards, as I started working on a 0.1. Later on, I started posting some teaser images and dev updates on a thread or two of my own, and then linked that preview thread on my account here as a signature. (so people could read my comments in other threads and then click on that thread to see my own updates, etc)

When I got really close, I posted more pics and then a little more about the story and genre, etc. (femdom/dystopian visual novel). At that point (knowing I was about 3 weeks away from publishing), I opened a Patreon on April 1 or so and linked that too on my sig and threads, etc. I then posted the same pics/updates from thread on Patreon. I announced an April 21ish release, and I was lucky that a few posters on here were encouraged by my presence on site and constant communication, and I managed 8 Patrons before I released 0.1 in late April.

The main thing also I did from Day One and always since to even right now, is no matter what, post some kind of update once a week (I do this on Sundays) even if I did nothing much. I usually just say I did x number of renders, or y number of words, and something about what I might be thinking about or planning, etc. I have had a week or two where I had to just say I didn't do so much because real life can often of course interfere, but that's still better than not saying anything. People I think understand that no one is perfect if you establish a pattern of communication. I just think being completely transparent and communicative is the biggest key to staving off scam skepticism, as it shows you are professional and disciplined to always stick to a set schedule of information/updates. It gives more confidence you can set project goals and stick to them too, etc.

So in your case, I would try and get more active on this site, link this thread to your sig, and try and be consistent in updating something every set period, even if it's just what you are thinking about/conceptual, as of course you are not going to update a new animation every week so easily, etc. Get your name known on this site as a quality poster/contributor and I do think some people will expand that to you as a game dev over time if you are consistent and through about it. It's a big difference releasing a 0.1 where literally almost no one knows you versus many posters recognizing your name from lots of good posts in femdom threads, and thinking it might be interesting to try a game from this person, etc. It's just hard to get people to commit to anything without seeing some kind of proof of concept so to speak. Without any game at first, your best proof of concept initially is your personality and drive, and on this site, the only real way to do that is update a lot, be very active, and get people to feel you are a quality poster (and by extension person and dev hopefully).

As for the game itself, just keep working on it, and it's a very ambitious idea, so I know it must be hard. I really hope you can get it going! :) If you need marketing advice when you get closer, I don't know a whole lot, but I found a few little things that helped with exposure, etc. Good luck!

Sorry for typos and being long winded, I'm just flowing stream of consciousness right now!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words and advice this helps! Marketing is the way to go in the end and exactly, just need to keep posting. I'll start tomorrow with that on this website, but thanks so much, means lots to me that you've taken the time to write this all out here! :giggle: <3

Changed my signature now, hope it's visible.:)

Other than that..
Laptop, coffee and making small changes to the city in UE.
Going to focus on finishing up the last two femdom animations and of course the new animation which will make it's way to the game next month.

Oh look who's back, Viraginis in the flesh.

And speaking of flesh, by god those are some high class soles and toes, so smooth... please don't tease us so, otherwise we might become some sort of zombies for them!

Well I'm glad that you're back to working on the game. Despite the minor earlier red flags that I've detailed out in my previous posts, it seems like you've now got a good and solid plan going forward.

As I said before, the concept of this project has all the hints to become one of the greats among the big porn games (I guess I can tell from experience of following all the big project for so long), but you know, for that to happen it first has to materialize into an actual game in order to attract more people to support it... and it seems that you've realized that and is working towards that goal, so I wish you the best!

Well, what can I say, the more eyes observe my feet with love, the more I'll be walking on pink clouds soon, levitating through life, you know, because of "quantum entanglement" and all that.:ROFLMAO:
Lots more teases incoming haha!:giggle:

I do love making this game, sure it's not going super fast, but I have big plans, especially if I manage to make it big sometime in the future, it would be beautiful working with lots of experts too when I grow in making the sexy games, hire them to make footfetish/femdom/mystery/adventure/fantasy games, since I have so many ideas that I would love to make a reality, medieval games too, oh how I want to make those haha, but I'm fully content on making the Virago game right now, got the story all set in my mind and paper, wish I could implement things faster than this, but I need to build it all up, no rushing since that is a sure way to fail. So it's baby steps till I become a huge enough Giantess to step my way to high AAA quality game making.

Thanks again for the best wishes!
Wishing you a great Thanksgiving too!
