Constructive impressions:

I'd love to see more diversity of physique and skin tones, not just various hairstyles on almost indeterminately identical character models. Specifically, some skinnier, smaller-breasted women (not girls, but adult women) in addition to the thicc ones you have already. As well as ethnically global women from bronze-skin, dark skin, or eastern nationalities. I know this is just the start and hope the promises made will become reality... virtually or otherwise.

The writing overall is kinda basic and dry. Adding some humor or subtle emotional weight to dialogue would improve it significantly.

I agree with almost all of your comments, especially where my biases are impacting the models. Hopefully, you'll see this corrected in the future, and I appreciate getting called on it.

Have to say, strong start to this game, characters are solid to look at and premise seems unique. Good luck on this game, I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

But, seriously, this sample release does leave a very good impression for me. Decent writing with good matching renders, a somewhat novel concept of a VR game school, which means there can be several layers of relationships. Someone the MC can't get along with in real life might be his most trusted squadmember in game, while some difficult anonymous opponent in game might be his own little sister playing from his own computer back home on the other side of the country.
Heck, there might even be some involvement from the military to train a team of super controllers for an army of androids.

So yeah, I see possibilities for this game to turn out well, whichever direction the developer wants to take it.

with this question you will probably get dozens of absolutely subjective opinions and examples. From the user's point of view, the model, plot and presentation will be far more important than closeness to reality, attention to detail and technical complexity. as a developer/graphic designer you certainly want to strive for what is technically feasible and achieve optimal results.

the best animation is no guarantee of success if it is not given the right frame. a good story, properly staged, will easily cope with animations that are technically less complex.

For me personally, all games/VNs with the tag "real porn" are an absolute no-go, or stay away. it may annoy some developers, but any decent video amateur can put together some clips, but is definitely not a game developer.

my personal advice: stick to what you can do and what you like, because only then will you believe in your project and be motivated in the long term.

thanks for the answer the ntr isnt for me don't like sharing the girls personally so will be skipping this one. would be a good idea to put that it will have ntr in the op under a future tags not everyone is going to scroll through comments to find out and this thread could get ugly if they find out while playing. good luck with the game

What has been the general consensus on episode 2?

I became a patron so I could play the game early, honestly really solid so far. Renders are clean, the girls are unique personality and appearance wise, story is "cliche" in that it's a college game, but again unique in how it goes about it, and I didn't see any English mistakes, which I'm a stickler for. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5 if I was rating it. Just want to play the next update already.
