That character porter is a godsend! Completely forgot about it until you mentioned it now, so I was doing things the hard way for no reasonCan you share your G8 morph porting process? I tried it on Daz using the G8 to G3 character converter then the G3 to G2 UV map adapter but things still went screwy.
works great, TYMaybe try to export as (BioVision files)bvh, load bvh in vam, save as pose..?
The thing is Genx doesn't make 100% accurate copies by it self. If U want to have excatly the same looking Gen2 model as g3\g8 original U will need to add "Genesis 3" morphs for it. In DAZ it's 50% for the body and 100% for the face. BUT. It's gonna change urs model T pose to Gen3 one, which might cause problems with animations later on. Solution? Use VAM gen3 morph instead if U porting character to vam. Vam Gen 3 morphs [no idea who ported them] are different. U need to set them both to 1.0 to make 100% match to the original. Sometimes U will need to fix eyes too. Eyes iris DD and depth morphs are Urs best call. That character porter is a godsend! Not sure what UV map adapter you're referring to though?
If you want only morphs, use GenX to transfer between G3 and G2 after transferring you character from G8.
Required Daz plugins: Genesis Generation X2, GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2, GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3
Rough steps porting morphs using the char porter & GenX:
MCM's don't always work though. Generally if it's related to the face it won't work in VAM so you can discard it.
- Port your G8F char to G3F using character converter
- delete G8F from scene
- Open GenX (Window -> Panes), go to the Transfer tab and select Genesis 3 Female as 'Source'
- See attached pic for the GenX settings you should input
- Tick (left side) the morphs you want to port, in my case it's FHMJingHo & FBMJingHo. Most of the morphs you want to port will sit under (geometry) Genesis3Female-1 if you used that G8-G3 char converter
- Click 'Transfer'
- That's it. Copy the .dsfs out of whatever directory you told GenX you wanted them stored in and dump them into your vam morphs folder. You just need the FBM (body), FHM (head) and optionally any MCM (was JingHos navel morph is this case). You can ignore anything with JCM in the name.
Note: If you used that character porter, or your G3 morph sits under 'Parameters' instead of 'Shaping' - select your morphs in GenX manually (i.e. search for and tick them yourself) rather than clicking on 'Select' and 'Get values from figure in scene' etc. Sometimes the Value remains at 0 (like in the screencap, even though they should be '1'), so when you select 'On for non-zero' it doesn't actually select anything
Only took me 2 months to notice this 'feature', I thought GenX was broken.
works great, TY
I finally found a pose converter that doesYou must be registered to see the links. It's free as well, attached it to this post as well in case anyone wants it.
It doesn't transfer facial expressions though, just the body pose.

jank ass porn games are about the only use for ported daz assets. Is this VL_13 guy paywalling ported DAZ assets or something? I feel like someone who can churn out clothing assets that fast wouldn't be spending their time doing it for a jank ass porn game.
Repacked Collar and lead, Handcuffs and blindfold, Rubber crotchless&top and waterdrops -->I think there are more missing

TY this is great! Just checked and this saves quite a bit of time tweaking the final result in VAM. A lot better than just pulling the ported morphs.Vam Gen 3 morphs [no idea who ported them] are different. U need to set them both to 1.0 to make 100% match to the original.
You can fix this in Daz before using it in VamSometimes U will need to fix eyes too. Eyes iris DD and depth morphs are Urs best call.
Holy shit, thank you! Don't know how I missed your post the first time. You can check my old post here
