So I just downloaded the game, and I keep getting an endless black screen every time I try to launch it. Been looking around for fixes, but I can't find any. Any suggestions?

I suggest using the official VaM Updater to download the latest, most recent version of VaM. See this post for details.

That didn't seem to work. I've had repair all the files, but nothing seems to be working. It seems to start loading for a bit, then just stop.

Are you trying to run this in Desktop or VR mode?
What file are you trying to run?
What are the specs of your PC (CPU, Memory, GPU)?

Running it in Desktop. Been using the updater to launch it, but I've also tried running the Batch files as well. None of them, including the benchmarks, seem to be working for me.
My specs are:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2904 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER
8 GB Memory

try copy clean instal like D:VAM or C:vam just put it on Root drive. than again its will work. i have this problem too. CLEAN INStal after the game works quit than copy ur addonspackage.

ill try all my way but not sure wht caus it is . i curious bout messup plugins...
but , i solve this problem with my clean instalation. thats not big deal anymore. everything works perfect now.

How do I unlock/unpin limbs in downloaded scenes? Sometimes I want to put the male hand elsewhere, but it snaps back to the original position

Select the bodypart you want to move, and check the "Control" tab to see if Position/Rotation is set to "Lock" or "Parent Link"/"Physical Link" or so.

What scene are we talking about, and what do you want to change? I might have a look at that scene then...

click on the required node, select "animation" in the control menu, delete all animation.

The scene "grinding" from "metaloid" everything is locked in place, so if I try to incline the torso, it goes back to default, if I try to move the hand, it resets back to the default position, etc. Even if I select the Hold checkbox in the position/rotation tab
I just want to freely control the hands, torso, head position etc and make them stay in the position I set them. Like this:
