Can we add DAZ-3d model in VAM?
Not directly, you'll have to convert stuff. If you search the web for something like "daz3d into vam" you'll find a couple of guides and how-tos like one for example. There's also a couple of guide on how to import "assets" like tools/furnitures/environments and stuff into VaM.

can you send some of your own converted DAZ3d file to VAM, so we can figure out.
Thanks:)

Hello, I'm new in this Virt-A-Mate thing, and I found all of this so difficult for newcomers it's insane. Does anybody knows if there's some kind of all in one thing I can download somewhere ?

I searched for content here and there, there's no installation instructions, no way to know what I need, so many mods, so many dependencies, I'm so lost. I think I need models and scenes, but none of those two are called so in the threads I found

I found this all in one "paywall content" but all links are dead and the thread is now closed for whatever reason, I guess they wanted to make it more clear for people but for me it's the exact opposit. If a kind soul can share me some help, I would be so grateful
Whatever you do, don't stop trying. I started learning how to use this 'game' a year ago when I got a VR headset and slowly could learn everything I wanted and make cool scenes for personal enjoyment, I never went back to playing other porn games or movies, vam is gamechanger for sure, totally underrated and probably it's because of the step learning curve.

I've never done any conversion myself, I'll leave that to people who have more time, patience anbd ambition than me :-D
The only "customization" I myself ever did is creating textures for various clothes.

Can I unpack the Looks .vars and create 2 different packs, one for all the looks and one for all the textures?

You can unpack and repack all the var you've got. Just don't share them please. Also I highly recommend to not do that at all, because it will counterfeit your dependencies. Once you've deleted the original *.var file because you've previously unpacked/repacked it, and another scene/look has this *.var as a dependency, VaM will re-download the original *.var file (if it's on the HUB) and you'll end up with multiple versions of the same stuff.

Interesting. But I just want to do this to Dnaddr's looks. They are not on the hub. Altoghether they are 3GB...

To unpack and repack these, can I just manipulate them as normal folder or I'm going to need a special tool?

*.var files are just ZIP archives, and you can use whatever tool to handle those. Again, I highly advise to not do this, but it's up to you. :-D

Thanks again for helping me out! VAM can be the best sex sim out there, but it can also be the worst software if you can't customize it properly, and it's very hard to understand everything

Completely agree.
VAM is like Blender with a scaling learning curve, and I think that's the main reason it's so underrated.

Anyone have tips on audio triggering with Timeline? I'm having problems to make a AudioSource play a slap sfx consistently. It doesn't play it randomly, even though Timeline is triggering it perfectly every single time.
Same happens if I use any collision trigger.

Is the sfx too short? Too quiet? Is there a better plugin/atom than the crappy AudioSource that appears to rely on sample loudness to play it?

edit: I added a Audio trigger line in Timeline, it seems it does not like triggering short audio samples in other atoms. Switched to a normal Trigger line, seems to be working now.

What's useful is to learn the folder's structure; What goes where, saves, assets, textures, morphs, vars, unity assets etc. For everything else including conversions from daz or within there is youtube.

Anyone with a RTX 4090 can tell if it made a big difference in performance ?
The issue isn't the GPU; Vam uses four CPU cores, no more, for hairs cloth and body physics.
