Gentledemon you not the only one wishing that, the VR Part currently severely restricts it's capabilities VAM 2.0 will get better but still it will be hard todo very amazing things,that could be done visually when it would chose another path or go a hybrid way.
Working inside these currently extremely limited and incoherent light limitations is not everyone's thing
You can try to fight this with Post Processing and push more resources but in the end it will just be another artistically result nothing really different currently and it needs lot more resources that are better spent elsewhere.
I personally go the non PP way currently and improve everything else for my personal artistical needs first before spending more resources into the PP topic.
I never do look a likes only Virtual Human Hybrids i want to avoid the failing part with Clones you can't control them really they look nice but they are uncontrollable in terms of their stability in VAM (You need much much more coherent working data and a system that can crunch that) im more for stable working context results that don't try to be to much this typical Doll Hentai stuff.
Also i try to emphasis this age direction which is 18+ Teens, which is not easy inside of all these limitations.
Try the Dollmaster 2.0 default girl i almost puked when rendering her in a more realistic light context she looks like a child, all her parts are also designed in that direction, i absolutely dont like this artistic direction i have my own.
