There's no such thing as an "age" parameter for a character. You should search for an "old man" look (or "aged male", "father", "grandpa" or something like that) on the VaM Hub instead -- there aren't many, but there are a some.
Oh. I was sure there was an option for aging characters. But, thank you.

is there a smarter, ingame, way to check for missing dependecies before firing a scene? apart from manually comparing the files in the folder with the author's req. dependecies file. thank you.

How To Download From Hub
You can scan for missing dependencies and automatically download ones available on the hub. To do this, select "Vam Hub" from the main screen or using the "hub browse" button in the scene menu:

Click "Scan Hub For Missing Referenced Packages" on the left:

Then "Download All" at the top right of the new popup.

How to find dependencies

If you want to see missing dependencies for an individual VAR, from the menu open the package manager. Select the file under installed packages on the left that you are missing dependencies for. It will display below in the panel.

Example below with a var I copied into my VAM without it's dependencies. Package manager is the highlighted cube symbol on the menu:

Great Dynamics Result we see a lot of them recently :)

PS: All of these Results can be easily Prefabed individually and compared side by side using the subscene function ;)

Not to necro this or anything butyou put this picture up in another thread and I was wondering if you might know where the asset can be found/purchased?

That's the thing--- there's no name or anything like that. They were just showing scenes. Lmao.
I feel ya dude. It's frustrating having so little to work from. What's almost as bad: when you learn your prize is behind a paywall and you're poor AF *cough TOTALLYNOTME cough*

Ah-hah! See! That's my issue-- I might even buy it. I just have no idea what the source material is. How dare people share wickedly good shit and not cite the origin.

Fucking fascists.

after very recently picking up this "game" i've been searching and browsing for looks both on the VAM hub and on this forum (for paid assets) and while i'm not surprised about all these ports of popular characters from video games and movies, i'm a little surprised about the shortage of look-a-likes from actual pornstars. like there are just a few of them, but even less of them that actually look the part instead of just being vaguely modeled after them.

like, i'm aware porting over a 3d model to a common game engine is unequivocally easier than manually making/morphing a 3d model with only being able to go off of images and videos, but i'd imagine a game like this would be a great environment for such a thing, right? i bet if a talented 3d artist started a Patreon focused on doing just that, it would totally explode in popularity.

is the ethical side of things actually holding some artists back from doing that? it's not like there's 10 different looks of Hermione on the VAM hub, so it's not like every one of them cares about that, is it? or am i missing something else x)

thanks for the recommendation, though i'm disappointed to admit that i haven't found anything on there that caught my eye, none of the pornstars i had in mind.
is there anyone else doing these? and where do you even find out about these creators? i guess from the VAM hub, so i just didn't see them yet...

Yeah check the hub ingame for well rated looks to begin with. You also will find good scenes like virtual sweatheart or other stuff which is really top notch.
When you found some creators you like, I also recommend to create a kemono account and favorite your creators to get updates.
Not all creator pages getting updated fast though but it's a way to start I guess.

Yes, there is a desktop mode. Some downloadable scenes are only made for VR, so experience might differ, depending on content.

and vice versa, some scenes might not work in VR properly, i had that happen for the first time recently with ilovedolls's scenes. nothing you can't work around, but happens.

Check the content of the *.VAR file -- it might just contain a look or appearance, or maybe it's just a CUA or something like that, just not a scene. I'm not familiar with that particular file, but if you can't seem to see a scene, it might not contain one.
