I'm getting this error when trying to package a var file. (prep package)

!> Exception during package prep: System.ArgumentException: Path contains invalid chars at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory (System.String path) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at MVR.FileManagement.PackageBuilder.PrepPackage () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

Did I somehow break my vam? It just doesn't work.

Hi :)
How would you remove elf ears from morphs?
I mean specifically if the publisher didn't use separate ear morphs and they only has one head morph for that look?

doing that will be difficult since you basically have to edit the mesh yourself. but if you have faceform3D/wrap3D (get the trial version), it has a option in brush tool where you can revert back specific regions to their defaults (how they look in base g2f model). The process can be difficult if you are not familiar, ill go over it briefly.
1. use to export morphs to daz studio.
2. apply the morph then export the obj from daz (make sure to set resolution to base)
3. bring both defualt g2f model obj and the morphed obj into wrap3D.
4. wrap it then finally, in the brush tool, use clone. now brush over the ears, it will now turn to their defaults non elfy ears.
5. export obj, then use morph loader pro in daz to import obj as morph. do erc freeze then save as morph asset.
6. now you can bring them into vam,
you can find many guides for all of these on . search daz or wrap or something.
before doing all this, maybe you got lucky and the author used built in morphs for elf ears? if so you can just put negative value in those morphs and see if that reverses it.

i haven't used vam in a few years. mostly because it was such a pain to store looks, export them from scenes that most of them contained only a look and reusing them. Has there been any workaround to this?

That's what I'm using and it seems to work nicely.

Can anyone tell me how to change models/looks? I've tried looking it up and every guide I've seen seems out of date.

Also, is there a way to filter so its just scenes I've downloaded in the viewer? It seems like its filled with a lot of other things and hard to find what I want.

Things like hair and clothing physics can TANK the fps of VaM. Also multiple light sources and shadows, especially in poorly-made rooms and scenes. You got to go in the settings and tweak the graphics a bit.

Try Lossless Scaling on Steam. Works wonders. Also cheap too.

Are there general texture collections your can download for clothing? I'm looking for the textures on the pictured clothing. Clothing is:Top: "201025 top and bottom" by Prestigitis. Bottom: "Satin bra and skirt set" by DateKnight. Clothing didn't come with pictured model, and doesn't appear to be included with the clothing items.
