Alternate question to anyone willing to answer, is there a fix for VaM clothing items glitching and presumably having this "melting" effect when you load them on? I want to load on some sunglasses but it literally looks glitched.

Easy to learn, the key is to master plugins first, as they can make an outdated scene look amazing by simply upgrading them. As for complex, you can make it complex if you see the detailed buttons and layouts people make, but that is only about 5% of creators that are top natch at that, so you can take it easy. I mostly just download scenes people make and replace models, and change plugins, and am having fun. But i do support creators of the plugins and stuff i use alot of. For example, browser assit by jayjaywon is a must have plugin for session, which must enable the var manager. Honey select to me is to annoying to me all about koikatsu for anime stuff & vam for realistic stuff.
Thanks

how the game work precisely? I open the game, go inside the hub and download a scene?

then i just need to open the scene?

Some items have modifiers that adjust their looks. You'll have to check their plugin pages for their how-to. Most of the ones I like to use just 'work' out of the box lol. When in doubt - checkout the plugin page or the discussion / FAQ pages under it!

It's been a while since I've used Virt-A-Mate, and while redownloading every important plugin and my favorite looks I can remember, I noticed while skimming over CUAManager, Resource Extractor is gone. I don't really trust any other extractor besides the one cotyounoyume made, and I haven't seen anyone ask for the one he made. If anyone can, can they share it?

Penetration is so hard to animate bros ..
Look into plugins like VInput's Autothruster. Use autogenthrust for male penis and prolly throw in another thruster for hips so it can rotate while thrusting, then add a thruster for the female/receiver so that it looks natural.

Relatively easier to setup and goes well with bodyFX plugin (although you might wanna turn off the thruster in the bodyFX since it also has an autothruster setting).

I'm assuming this is happening on some specific looks, and doesn't happen with other looks? It looks like it's from . there should be some morphs named xxxa-glasspose.... these can be used to position the glasses. Try messing with that, although it might not fix it.

First of all why does this happen?
The problem here is vam doesn't have built in way import rigid items like hats or sunglasses, without deforming it significantly. Vam wraps the clothing onto the body so morphs affect the clothing too. But rigid objects should not be wrapped like that, morphs should have no affect on rigid clothing mesh. The devs should have added an option for this but they decided to completely ignore this (and other pitfalls of clothing import system). Anyway some creators found ways to get around this, and this glasses is using one of them.

There are two ways:
1. (this glasses set is using this one)
Wrapping the clothing to one or a few flat polygons. i think mopedlampe found this method. Through some tricks, clothing is only wrapped to a specific polygon so only the morphs that affect that specific polygon, shows its effect on the clothing. All this means is the mesh will look rigid as should be, unless something affects that specific polygon. The actual process is complicated but Stopper wrote a plugin to automate this called .

In your case some morph is affecting that specific polygon, and that's why its glasses looks wrong. The xxxa-glasspose morphs are designed to only affect the polygon in a specific way so you can position glasses with it. But like i said it might not work so I'd recommend the second method.

2. Second way is through by stopper. I personally use this and I recommend this method. Its very easy to setup and use. Only issue is if the clothing has physics it wont work as intended. But for sunglasses, hats and stuff its easiest way to make it rigid. Use this and this to set it up.

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but for someone who has never used it, if I were to just download pre-made scenes, would it be fairly plug-and-play like EmoCre or is there still a steep learning curve?

Pre-made scenes are pretty straight forward.

The interface can feel a bit intimidating until you get comfortable with it, and over time you'll learn more of the lingo. Plenty of solid "getting started" guides out there to help you get up and running without too much frustration.

If you're downloading pre-made scenes from here, I'd highly recommend Sharp VaM Tools to make it significantly easier to download or track down specific dependencies you may need to download separately for the scene to work. VaM has a built-in tool for this in the app itself, but I find it much more convenient to be able to scan to make sure I have everything before loading up.

For ppl that use Lossless Scaling, I've this weird issue where, after a time, the all my monitors turn black, but VAM is still running. My keyboard and mouse inputs have stopped and my only option is to restart.

Would just like to know what ppl's settings are. Mine worked at a time but this issue just came up recently.

These settings work for me:

LSFG3.1, Fixed, x3, Performance Off
Scaling LS1, Sharpness 1, Performance On, Custom Mode, Factor 1, resize before Scaling On
Sync Mode Off, Max Latency 4

The game is set to run at 2560x1440, physics capped at 60Hz
Monitor is 2560x1440, 165Hz Fixed, sync off

No problems with this set up so far.

I'm using BrowserAssist VAR Management and using KY1001's AppearanceLoader. Is there a way when using AppearanceLoader's option to load a look from scene for it to use the BrowserAssist browser rather than the default VAM browser? I'm using a Ruleset in VAR Management with only a few scenes and plugins enabled, with the looks disabled. I know you can still use the disabled looks by opening "Preset Appearances" in the BrowserAssist browser, but certain looks I have don't have preset appearances, and have CUA assets that don't save correctly if I were to make preset appearances for them.

Just perfect.
When I try to use another plugin, it gives me spammy errors, does anything on this god forsaken app work?

If anyone knows how to get rid of this shit, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if this is the right place but, do any dedicated VAM creators on pixiv actually post files or do they all just post photos?

Aim with penis base or penis tip, animate that and hip, or use divining rod and just animate hips.

Body language plugin gets used on the female model only, a single instance in a scene and I’m pretty sure that is the only way it works, my guess is you are loading it in the wrong place to see those errors.

Mesh colider, Auto gen thruster, You can also find a pugin by runrudolf (sorry i'm not on my PC, i can't remember the exact name).
When I get home from work, I'll post a short video with the list of plugins and some tips (reducing the width of the penis, and lengthening it for example)
