Alternate question to anyone willing to answer, is there a fix for VaM clothing items glitching and presumably having this "melting" effect when you load them on? I want to load on some sunglasses but it literally looks glitched.

I'm assuming this is happening on some specific looks, and doesn't happen with other looks? It looks like it's from

. there should be some morphs named xxxa-glasspose.... these can be used to position the glasses. Try messing with that, although it might not fix it.
First of all why does this happen?
The problem here is vam doesn't have built in way import rigid items like hats or sunglasses, without deforming it significantly. Vam wraps the clothing onto the body so morphs affect the clothing too. But rigid objects should not be wrapped like that, morphs should have no affect on rigid clothing mesh. The devs should have added an option for this but they decided to completely ignore this (and other pitfalls of clothing import system). Anyway some creators found ways to get around this, and this glasses is using one of them.
There are two ways:
1. (
this glasses set is using this one)
Wrapping the clothing to one or a few flat polygons. i think mopedlampe found this method. Through some tricks, clothing is only wrapped to a specific polygon so only the morphs that affect that specific polygon, shows its effect on the clothing. All this means is the mesh will look rigid as should be, unless something affects that specific polygon. The actual process is complicated but Stopper wrote a plugin to automate this called

In your case some morph is affecting that specific polygon, and that's why its glasses looks wrong. The xxxa-glasspose morphs are designed to only affect the polygon in a specific way so you can position glasses with it. But like i said it might not work so I'd recommend the second method.
2. Second way is through

by stopper. I personally use this and I recommend this method. Its very easy to setup and use. Only issue is if the clothing has physics it wont work as intended. But for sunglasses, hats and stuff its easiest way to make it rigid. Use this
