Good luck with your project. You might want to make the background pictures optional. I find it hard to read sometimes when the background is to bright. A solid grey or blue bg doesn't look as nice, but is way more practical.

I'm also going to chime in and suggest you use WEBM instead of GIF. Image quality of WEBM is superior and the file sizes are exponentially smaller. WEBM is also compatible with all modern browsers.

Tried WebM and didn't like it, I probably don't have the best set up to make them.

How can you not like it? Gif is for drawn art, it is ancient and removes a lot of information from the files and creates large file sizes when there is a lot of colour, like in RL movies. webm is the latest supported by any browser.

But if you prefer you can still use another container....
