Gotta say, the content of this update really surprised me.
One of the big issues with Netorase games is finding that perfect balance in the power dynamic without creating a war among your own fanbase. I've seen several game threads devolve into madness because an NTS relationship included some humiliation play or a perceived submissiveness in the MC as a result of dominant behavior from either the wife or her lovers. Even if the MC specifically requests humiliation, people still argue that he's being cucked or whatever, despite it being clear that the MC is in complete control.
What was great about this update is it subverted expectations most players have of the traditional "alpha/beta" relationship. Geist comes in, super jacked and with a tough guy persona, and it seems as though he's going to speak down to MC and force him into a submissive beta role. Instead, MC gets what he wants out of Geist and when he feels disrespected, he shuts Geist down and emasculates him, drawing a clear boundary and asserting himself as the one truly in control of the situation. I think it's a great touch that Ammie overhears this as the game continues to underscore the strength of their bond over and over.
I also think it's interesting that, when choosing the humiliation route, there is a huge disclaimer that needs to spell out the concept of humiliation being MC's request and that despite the language she doesn't actually mean it and only cares about him while he is in complete control because that language is only happening because he wanted it, and if he didn't it would stop. Crazy thing is, it's not even Ammie saying this where you could question whether she's being truthful, it's the literal author explicitly saying it in a 4th wall break. I don't know how you can make it any more clear.
I have played plenty of Netorase games and I don't think many have gone this far to make it blatantly obvious that the characters are playing into the kink and not in danger of breaking up or getting NTR'd. I feel like if you're signing up for an NTS game with all of these giant, obvious signs and you somehow still feel like it's NTR, then you're probably projecting really hard and dealing with a level of insecurity that would likely make it unhealthy for you to play any of these games in the first place.
All in all, this game has been a really pleasant surprise. I'm shocked this thread doesn't have more traction, but I expect that will change as people continue to stumble upon this gem.
