At this point I dont think anybody is having doubt about money milking scheme of developer of Waifu Academy. So many empty promises, long wait times between updates, minimal amount of content in each update, etc. etc.
You dont need to analyse the code to realise that dev turned into money-milking scumbag.
Christ this was a fun game but do old saves really not work anymore? Welp time to go at it again from the start

I think the dev is trying to be funny with this but just come off as annoying when what you say is true.
Poor Inori-Chan looks like the dev cares more about Pointless lewds of your mom then your character progression
