I don't think this is that kind of game. There are developers who start with a complete script for the entire story and just need time to code it and create the graphics. Like building a cathedral. That is clearly not what's going on here. It's more like building a bazaar. It appears that the developer just makes things up as they go and has at most a general idea of the direction. Many updates seem to open new plot threads rather than close or extend existing ones.
I like both kinds of AVNs. But the bazaar style ones tend not to get proper endings. Normally they either go on until the developer suddenly disappears without a trace, or occasionally they suddenly get a quick and sloppy pro-forma ending that isn't very satisfactory and leaves some plot threads open. For these games, nobody can know how many updates there will be. Usually not even the developer.

I am afraid that even the devs don't know
Every update, he goes all the way back to the beginning and updates random stuff from the beginning of the game. I know cause I diff the script every time and there's always some minor changes throughout the whole script. He spends so much time making these changes that no one cares about instead of just focusing on the next chapter.
Nah, dev just dropped a huge update, for the Glory of Waifus

I haven't played Pale carnations, BaD, Eternum, Ripples , but considering the fact that dev supposed to have one or 2 assistants that help with the work , he could be a bit faster also the game does not have much animation , the story is complicated the way dev is writting it so far..

I would advise everyone who is looking forward to this game to forget about it for a couple or three years, because during this period the content for a couple of hours of reading maybe will be released. And for all the idiots who pay for air, I would advise them to stop sponsoring the developer's immense laziness and stop being a cash pig. Because until this lazy arsehole author people do not cut off the money oxygen at least a little, he will continue to make one update a year with content for half an hour, and maybe he will get tired of it and he will disappear for a few years without updates as he did before.
