So, the latest update is here. A lot of interesting things happened; while the update didn't seem particularly big, it was quite content-rich. Though in some places, it felt a bit rough around the edges.
First and foremost, they added the long-awaited content with Rikuna, which I was really looking forward to. They fleshed her out more, showing how much she does for our progression. Especially the ending of this current update turned out very unusual.
I noticed the comments here pointing out a strong change in Inori's personality, and I have to agree with them. Inori has become very persistent—not that it's a bad thing, but her character has changed significantly.
I spotted a few interesting details I hadn't noticed before. If you recall the very last meeting with Jira at Brook's store, after the events at the Musashima mansion (Day 31), when she doesn't recognize the main character, a line flashes by something like, "That ass looks familiar." It's not hard to figure out which character has dark skin and deduce that it's Kayane. Also, there's another secret: when we sneak into the lab at school, if you press the buttons in a specific order, you can learn something new.
As for the rest of the update, some paths are currently unavailable (Kaori and Motoko). I was a bit disappointed that you can only ask Rachel one question, and no matter what, talking to her only leaves you with more questions. Regarding the future update, I'm looking forward to content with Tomoe. I really want more content with Rikuna (I consider her one of the most interesting characters), but I understand it won't be coming soon. I'm very interested in when we'll get some interesting events with Kayane, and it's been a while since we returned to the revenge path. It feels like the story is leading us along, revealing many details, but compared to the first days when you did your homework every time and could clearly see your progress, now we spend most of our time with the girls. This isn't bad for this game, considering its genre overall, but there's a feeling that we're getting very little actual plot progression. To be more precise, we're now gradually starting to learn about the demons living under the school, how Rachel is involved in all this, and in general, most of the focus is on the school; we've started traveling less around the game world.
