I uninstalled the mod to check and yes it's somehow related to the mod which make the same dialogue loop.

Hello Friends

i am currently using a 32 bit computer under linux debian 12
Linux satan 6.1.0-23-686-pae #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.99-1 (2024-07-15) i686 GNU/Linux

as WaifuAcademy zip has not the linux 32 bit lib folder so i have downloaded the renpy-7.4.5-sdk.tar.bz2 from renpy.org website.

i have dowloaded this sdk because the script_version.txt inside the game folder from WaifuAcademy-0.12.0-pc.zip contains this value

(7,4,5)

i have successfuly extracted the sdk. inside the sdk folder renpy-7.4.5-sdk , i have copied the entire game folder from the WaifuAcademy-0.12.0-pc.

inside the sdk folder i have launched
/renpy-7.4.5-sdk$ ./renpy.sh

the game is launching a few seconds, i see the loading taskbar with the girl for a few seconds (3 or 4 secs) then this error comes

i am not a great linux expert but usually copying the sdk folder in the sdk folder is sufficient to run a game on my linux 32 bit.

is there a way to fix this error ?

Yeah. That was on the dev. I only unlocked the stuff he put there.
To fix that I would have to change the scene in the game itself.

Funnily enough, the number of video files didn't change (0.11 > 0.12) but their size increased by a whopping 2.5 GBs.
And no, the quality has not improved. Do what you will with that information.

We get into this debate every update (which means yearly I guess) but amongst all the developers here who very rightfully gets called out as a patreon milkers or borderline scammers *cough* School of Lust *cough* I really don't find Irphaeus to be that bad. I think he delivers what he promises, updates actually have quite a lot of content. While I don't find him a super skilled writer I think he's genuinely good at creating the kind of scenes or setups you'd expect from an eroge, I find myself pretty enamoured by these characters. I think it makes sense updates would take this long if you're an one man team (yes, even if it's all Honey Select).

Now personally I wouldn't want to pay the equivalent of a AAA title each year for 2h or so of gameplay, and I certainly would be wondering why he's starting a second game (iirc) when this one's still far from finished. But it's not like it's blows my mind like people still supporting unplayable messes like Spooky Milk Life or My New Life.

The problem with your logic is that Irphaeus is not a one man team. There 3 others who make significant contributions to the game, and according to the game credits 3 others who provide additional assistance.
