Uiii, this -- I think you mean the fuck with Inori's mom -- is long ago. Where to start? The story has progressed but an end is not in sight. Of course this VN is not abandoned. And whether it is worth coming back lies in you what you expect. I personally think it is. But you need a lot of patience.
I also havn't played in awhile, I think there was a story where the MC wanted to find who was behind the father's death or soemthing? Is that still going or is the mc just going around fking everything and forgetting the story.

See above. After some updates with trips beyond the main story and a couple of fucks (or fuck dreams as a threesome with Maki, Motoko and a demon) the MC came back to basis (means back to the academy) and tracks down what is happening (literally) underground -- mystic, mystic. Finally he fucked stupid little Minami and beautiful Kaori (the narcoleptic runner, very nice scene). That's it for now.

There are many central questions still open and some major girls unfucked (Inori, Motoko, Kayane etc.). So, there will be quite a lot of rest content. How much? I don't know, I am not the creator of Waifu Academy. The last update was that with Kaori, I told it already

I completely agree, the mod doesn't work. Regardless thiis game doesn't need any mods as the story is streamlined or doesn't have multiple endings but ofcourse a little bit of hint for choices will be appreciated.
