I find it kind of strange where the guide for the female character is Professor Snape and male character's is Professor Tonks. Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Work on the new version is in full swing. In addition to finals, there will be many other improvements and changes to it. For example, we've completely redone the main Ginny sprite based on the one we used for the ball. The last sprite for Ginny was very primitive, having only one hand position. In fact, it was the very first sprite we made for this game. So we've added a couple of new hand positions for her, as well as uniforms and clothes for the prologue. There seems to be a more "in character" look to Ginny on this sprite.

No, is itn't possible. But we already plan to release full final version soon.

There's a reason this got pushed back, a war broke out and member's of the team live in both countries. That they've been able to continue development is pretty amazing.
You misunderstood what I said, some games get pushed off of the latest page, even when they are newly updated.
