No, last time I checked. Why would you want to see that guy in the main menu's background anyways?
i just remembered someone uploaded a fixed version of the game with translation but they added todd howard in the background for some reason.

Is this game fixed? Cause last time I tried to play this game it crashed not long after the elven village

Managed to finish it myself a while back, so I'd say yes? Don't recall any crashes after the elven village.
Although I guess the odd "playing an RPG maker game too long and eventually the renderer seems to break and while yeah, you can still move, open menus, etc., you can't actually see what the fuck you're doing" is a typical bug I encounter. Then again that might just be a me issue. Either way, just save on a decent basis and that's no problem.

That would be the arena, which is a story mission roughly halfway through. So you can't miss it.
I've been around Monkey Island and tried to beat the monkey boss but the story doesn't work. What should I do?

By "story" you mean plot or how beat him? If plot nothing like this happens on monkey island, only battles and sex encounters.
If you mean strat for boss then try buy 12 anti-shot accessory in casino and spam full burst+recharge skill 2 times+any full burst cd addon on kirsten.

It`s only dragon king boss after aria and it`s all. You can acces door from first area in shadow forest (just empty house, no fights) or use tp crystals from elf vilage.
Is the story finished after I defeat the old witch again in the ice palace? I've done that. I also saw other female characters besides Kirsten's friend from someone's screenshot, but I didn't find them when I played

Emm... By "old witch" your mean the main protagonist - grey mage? If you only clear monkey island in post game, your still have 3 dragons: fire one in area with kangaroo , ice one in area with curch before ice temple (dragon huntress here) and thunder one in ruined city (assasin here). You also have ruined city terminus, you can acces it from train station. Also bonus side quest in main city.
