Having an odd problem with a fresh install of 0.12... and maybe I'm being an idiot and don't understand the interface, but I can't seem to interact with any of the girls. I can navigate around the ship, but when I go to a location I can't trigger any interaction with anyone. The interface icons on the upper right are all active and usable. The icon that I guess is me and my stats doesn't do anything, nor does clicking on any girl icons that might be there, except, if I double-click more than once on that set of icons I'm hopped back to my last location, and it stops happening. (And that's not entirely true, sometimes when I click anywhere in the scene I'm hopped back to the previous location.)
Any ideas? Am I an idiot - what am I missing? Thanks!
EDIT: And this is the first time playing, so it's not a new problem and it previously worked.

On a picture you need to see one of 3 icons top right.
A Star which indicates an action or quest progress is available.
A Speech Bubble/Quote which indicates a conversation is available.
Then there is the Cogwheel think which is an action, but usually a pretty boring one, unless you are in your cabin where it does list a few more things.
The Star and Speech Bubble icons appear on the boat exploded diagram, and are an easy way to navigate through the game.

The game is quest-based, so you need to complete certain steps to advance through the quests and start new ones. There are four buttons at the top right that trigger certain actions - the star is for a quest step, the talk bubbles button is for talking to characters that are currently present, the eye button is for spying and the gear wheel is for doing routine stuff like bathing, eating sleeping, etc. The quest steps (triggered by the star button) are one-time actions while the look and talk are usually for repetitive events but in order to have those you need to advance to certain point in different quests.
Besides those buttons there is the location marker, which triggers the map, the 'i' button which lists all the available quests and tracks your progress and gives you hints about what you need to do next for each of them and the fast forward button which advances the time.
When you open the map you can see if there are available actions by the small icons that appear next to the location. For starters you can open the map and click on the advance time till you see a star icon. Be mindful of your stats though - you need to have your hygiene, sleep and hunger above the minimum to be able to trigger an action. You can sleep in your cabin during the night or take naps on various locations during daytime, you can bathe in you cabin or in the bathrooms on levels 2 and 3 if they are free and eat in the kitchen or in the dining area. If you don't want to bother with those, you can use the computer in your cabin to activate the cheats and freeze your stats.
It's a bit complicated at start and I've been meaning to add a help screen explaining those to new players, but I never got the time to do it.

I MUCH prefer Lia... and haven't you guys ever heard the saying about "It's the Quiet Ones, ya gotta watch out for!" Mia may be a bitchy slut, but I'll lay ya odds, if it was in RL, LIA would be the real prize!That's exactly what I'm doing since I'll have to test the new stuff for the both paths, so in theory if you play the Familiar Face quest now and leave "The Naughty Sibling" on the step where you have to choose which twin to go for (going to Mia and Lia's cabin at early night), you'll be playing the most tested scenario .

Also on future stuff - I can't promise anything on that. The truth is that I have the main story plotted out and it doesn't rely on either Mia or Lia, seeing that they are the least favored characters (don't ask why - they would be in the top five if I got to vote on future quests). Every couple of months or so I'm going to include one step of the main story to the Patreon vote and this will (usually) be the choice of my patreons. The rest are sort of side-quests which I write on the go depending on loose ends left by other side quests and/or the main story. Would my patreons vote for Mia and/or Lia in those polls is not something that's in my control. I think it's fair for me to keep control of the main story while my patreons get to choose who they like to see in the next version. Some of us like shy teens, some like slutty ones, some like MILFs, some like redheads, some - blondes, some like big boobs, some are into small perky tits and some may be into something else so I try to mix those when making the polls, but my patreons are as important for this game to be finished as I am, so I want to respect their choice.

Since I'm not a patron, nor am I following ya yet there (need to change that second issue quickly, I think), I obviously couldn't vote... I think Lia, Amelia, Yvette, Julia and Sarah are my top faves. I like Sophie, but there's something about the model that doesn't play well in close-ups, I think. Most of the other Students are very nice, as well as Cat, Emma, and Kayla (the Teachers/Dean)... I'd personally like to hack Ranger's machine, and copy all the DUF files and just have fun making REALLY naughty fan art with his assets... *giggles wickedly*

I've slept and wasted ~10 in game days or more and wasted about 2 hours of my own life on this but it wont trigger.

I've done all the steps from the walk-through for "Open Marriage" manually several times, no interaction (star) has come up on the scenes where it say "Talk with <lady> when she's alone". I've slept and wasted ~10 in game days or more and wasted about 2 hours of my own life on this but it wont trigger.
Here's my save
In the save file the Open Marriage quest is at step 3, which according to the walkthrough is "You need to choose the Sophie path or advance to step 5 of the Sarah’s path in Old Rivalry"
So what you need to do is to go to the gym and ask Catherine to play another game which you should loose. This will trigger the Old Rivalry quest and once you advance enough in it, the Open Marriage quest will 'unlock' itself from step 3.

I was chasing the "quest markers" so all of a sudden when I had to try to understand the hint "Eve is so hot" I didn't know what to do., nor did I know which step I was on.

I've been away for a couple of weeks, trying to work remotely. It was working perfectly for the first week - I'm working "remotely" even when I'm at home because my rendering machine doesn't have a keyboard and monitor, so I connect via remote desktop from my laptop. But then something happened (I'm guessing a brief power outage) at home and my rendering machine went dark so I couldn't connect anymore. Not wanting to waste the time, I started working on another much wanted feature which didn't require new renders to be done - scene re-play. So I give you the 0.12.5 version of Water World. It doesn't have any new content, so I'm making it available for all, not following the usual release cycle.

- UI for replaying the scenes. It is accessible through the quest help (the 'i' button at the top right). You can now select any quest and re-play the scenes.
Note:
Even if you have finished all the current quests, you'll see that some of the scenes are locked. Though this is expected for the multi-path quests such as 'Old Rivalry', there are additional scenes, which you may or may not have watched while playing, so I had to add additional stuff to track the player's progress for those. Since your save doesn't have those flags enabled, these scenes will appear as locked.
