But a) this is so lame and b) what's the point of being invited to set relations in the first place then? I set the relations in the obvious way (Mom/Aunt/sisters/brother etc) and then found that the choices didn't make sense and didn't matter anyway. The whole set-up just doesn't work if the 'new' family aren't at least related to each other. 'You're the most wonderful stepmom a stepson could ever hope for' - that's a close and delete line right there and the MC hasn't even arrived on the scene yet.
There are various possible work-arounds to platform restrictions. And if the dev is still determined not to include even a hint of family relations, then just use names instead. It's not that hard. As it is, the story and text are shouting at you that this is a family game but not really which is the worst of all possible worlds. And this is a shame because the models look great, and the set-up could be really promising - ie a harem with your family (real/adopted/whatever) including femboy.
Then I went further, up to the first day at college. Very little of the text makes sense but then half of it's impossible to read anyway when it's white text on a light background. Everyone dresses and behaves like they're in a free-use scenario/at the end of a harem game but talks like they barely know each other. Meanwhile our MC wanders in and out of scenes, promising to screw anything that moves but so far being blue-balled from doing so. There's something here. It's just that either the script needs completely different renders or (hopefully) the pictures need a completely new script.
Man, I’ve been playing porn games for like 8 years now. At the end of the day, it’s all about imagination and taking each scene on its own, like watching a porn movie. Not everyone is George R. R. Martin, Tolkien.
Most of these devs really need our support. They
do get better and more skilled over time. This is his
very first game, and if everyone expects a 5-star script and perfect quality from day one, devs like this will just give up and quit.
He also mentioned more than once that he’s not a native English speaker. Writing a good story in another language is genuinely hard. I’m actually playing the game, and I can clearly see him improving with every update.
He released
5 updates in just 3 months. Most devs need 3 or 4 months just to release a single update—sometimes it even takes a whole year. So honestly, I really hope he keeps going, even if there are still some issues.
You get what I’m trying to say.
