Can we not share the updates since these guys leaked the last update soon and can't wait for the public version in 1 week ? i think not leaking the status updates will also may help in preventing leak by suppressing the hype

Yeah and the patreon is cheap as well i don't know why ppl want to leak this
I dont see that much of an issue with status updates but its not up to me. I'm not subbed right now but I have been subbed for every update since 0.7 of Stay Online. I wouldn't mind seeing the status updates but I absolutely object to the game update being posted. - From memory you did the same thing asking for the status update prior to the last update ;) hahah

Chill, everyone, it’s just a render of Mary in a bikini, and the dev saying the development is on track.

lright, I'll publish the game on release day. Why are other games published on release day, but this one deserves special treatment?

PS Why should I read this nonsense on a pirate forum?
*Sigh*

The dev releases a public version one week after the Patreon release. It's not about deserving special treatment, it's about respecting (all) devs and their wishes, and not doing something that could potentially result in the dev stopping work on their game:
Guys, I’ll be releasing the public version of this update a bit later, just like I’ve done before. When you share it early, you’re not just devaluing the work — you’re also killing the motivation to keep going. Why do that?
With the exception of the big games with hundreds (or more) or paying subscribers, most games don't get leaked on day 1, it's usually a week or two, or sometimes even longer before they are leaked. And yes, it's a pirate forum, but that doesn't mean it has to be a "bite the hand that feeds you" forum.

Piracy shouldn't be a communist-driven ideology that everything should be free for everyone - it should be about bringing balance and restoring order to industries that keep getting more anti-consumer with every passing year.

Leak Ubisoft's games day 1? No problem, I even encourage it.

Leak fledgling AVN games day 1? Really? Did you have to block even the little money these guys get for something we all clearly enjoy?

Let's use piracy as a means of sticking it to the Big Corpo, not the indie devs, shall we?

I agree in giving the devs time to make money.
The problem is that players know the game will be released here for free eventually.
If you like a game then if you can support the dev, but this is a pirate site.
If you can you should help support F95.

It's all a delicate balance. On one hand, devs can get discouraged from continuing development if they don't get enough support. On the other, players can get discouraged from supporting if the game isn't worth the price. But without hype there is no support, and this place is one of the best for people to find new games and devs to support.

So, in the end, leaks are unavoidable, that's something that the devs must accept. But, if a dev who's active in the community (and who's proven not to milk subs) asks for a reasonable time window before a new release is leaked, we must also do our best to honor that request.

Is that a forum rule? Or just something you made up?
I don’t recall agreeing to such a thing.

Its about ensuring the game gets finished because the dev is compensated, the dev releases this game 1 week after patreon release. We are trying to say that 1 week is a good price to pay to ensure the game is finished and other good games in the future are made

Do you keep track of every game? And when a game gets leaked on release day, do you immediately rush to post in the thread about filthy pirates? Do you do that for every game or just this one? :LUL:
