Yeah, I feel like there's a big difference between a female protagonist corruption game and a male protagonist sharing or NTR game. Just from a pure POV standpoint, the agency of the player character affects the plot in very different ways. In FPOV games, the husband is just an NPC, the FPC has all of the agency. This unfortunately frequently manifests in very poor ways when the dev is a man who seems not to have ever met a woman before.

A major part of this genre is the fetishsism based on risk. Offering something you value as a "sacrifice" where you're actually sacrificing the bond of love. Without the risk of a woman cheating based on that, perhaps some people will feel it's not genuine. I understand your point though, the format could be suited to what the player wants to see.

Part of the problem is F95's tags. The game has netorare tag, so people expect netorare. There is no actual swinging in the game, there is sharing/hotwifing. And yet, those tags currently don't exist. Supposedly in the future, there will be netorase. FFS... But there is a subgroup of NTR players which invade any NTS thread and try to force NTR into it, these are a blight of the forum. They've become worse than the anti-NTR brigade in some regards. I don't even necessarily dislike NTR, unless it's the brutal MC's life is ruined type. But when I play a game where the focus is supposed to be on NTS and they come in there whining, it's just annoying af.
