just came across this game on an older backup hdd and remembered how fucking good it was bois!!!
therefore i cannot put my sadness in words seeing the version i had was never updated until today

and btw wasn´t there a board rule for the abandoned tag after a 6M period of time w/o any update!?!?

They release a weekly update on their patreon page. Some real life events last year caused a delay I believe. The update is 94.7% complete some must likely by the end of the month or middle of next month I think.
Hmm, the game is still under active development, for some reason the update this time is extreme slow, but the devs are still working on the game. Here in F95 the rule states that if there is no update in over 18 month it will get the "abandoned" tag, which i interpret as "18 month" is not a fixed date rather up to the mods when the tag is set and independent of an active game development. IMHO this tag (in a timeout condition) is meaningless because it will disappear if the dev uploads an update some time later.
About your question how to get an abandoned tag let me quote the rules:
so maybe those 4 month cases could be the second clause, eg. the dev has abandoned his accounts or has informed the mods he no longer develop the game.
Sucks if this was abandoned. Really like the art style, pacing was good, story was fine, humour was better than most and the scenes weren’t shoved in your face all the time.
Even if it gets the abandoned tag, it doesn't mean the game is actually abandoned. You can follow the progress on their website.

It won't be abandoned, at least not yet.
The question is how long it'll continue before the whole "Patreon(by many confused with charity) formula" will stop working.
The game was first released in 2020 and you can justify it as much as you want, but v.0.6 in almost 4 years speaks for itself. I'm in any case interested in the orc female.

One of the less discussed aspect of the current situation is that this entire project started because the nuts were stuck at home due to the pandemic in 2020. Nobody back then knew if they'll even make it through the year alive or not. That was the unique circumstance that allowed for such a game to begin development.
Now that the world is "normal" again, and they know that they won't die at any moment from a nebulous disease, it only makes sense that our devs have gone back to their regular routine. It would take another pandemic if you want the same productivity from them.

Yep,is obvious that What a legend was a pandemic project that got too popular.
It makes sense that they were all in in this game back in 2020-2021 and now that life is back to normal the game is the backburner.
They are making almost 7k a month. I would call that quite a motivation to not be just a backburner...
