In this particular case, devs are providing their patrons with what their tiers say they should provide: discord access, weekly reports, WIP videos (the latest one was posted last Friday), and voting rights. And they have also provided the past updates earlier for patrons, which is the only patreon benefit directly related to updating the game. So reporting them to Patreon is a good idea only if you want to embarrass yourself and waste Patreon's staff time.
have they considered late releases of WIP vids? Ie., maybe make WIP vids public after 3 months or such? Would still maintain the insider status of "up to date on latest developments" that patrons are paying for, but would also maybe allay some of the public worries about milking. The public are the ones who might potentially sign up to patreon and replace the other ones who are slowly dropping out after all.

Like a sneak peek would kill them?
The next update is about a orc woman, fuck out of here with the novel part, let us fuck this green girl and move on already.
It does make a certain amount of sense that it's a long update. Unlike other girls who've had their routes completed, Gomira basically had zero character development prior to this update. There's one scene in a dungeon, we don't know why she was captured or if she committed a crime, we don't know anything about her except she apparently isn't against hooking up with humans and really enjoys givin' a beej. Aside from that she is tabula rasa. So ALL that characterization still has to be developed. As far as Lassie is concerned he's never even met her; shit, the mad lad doesn't even know he blasted in an Orc throat. For all we know Lassie will turn out to be racist against Orcs and will have to get over that before he comes to desire her. There's a lot longer distance to go from where we are to him and Gomira getting freaky again, than there was between him and Myrtle or Rose doing the same.

Note that I'm not saying this justifies a two year dev cycle, mind you. But it's a factor to take into consideration. If they were gonna do Gomira justice so that her route has just as much feeling and depth as the other girls', then it was always gonna take time to make.

They do post WIP/sneak peek videos and images on occasion. The most recent one was on June 28th.

I would swear it was drawn by the same guy who did Summertime Saga
no, the art looks different (wal vs summertime), but there are some games with a similar drawing style.
There was a game which looked like wal in style and story, unfortunately i forgot the name. Maybe "sinners landing" comes close to the style, but still different especial in line-art.

Actually it's getting futher away if you notice each update post they raise the caps so it's going backwards.
I'm really suck at mathematics. All this time I thought that when the percentage approaches 100% you are actually progressing further but it was backwards all this time. Back to school I guess.
