That is an interesting fresh insight, but I can't think of many instances of this happening off the top of my headthe updates merely teleporting people to locations for 1 or 2 scenes instead of them being fleshed out places to properly visit killed the map.
No they cant because fuck the fans i guess.they can just hire someone for a month or 2 just to fix the code or whatever they are struggling with, and they will be able to make the lost profit back quickly.
Look up the Mythical Man Month, to see why just adding people to a software project doesn't make it go faster.they can just hire someone for a month or 2 just to fix the code or whatever they are struggling with, and they will be able to make the lost profit back quickly.
Not denying that the delays seem suspicious, and their skills need improvement, but just putting people onto a project/hobby/whatever doesn't necessarily make it faster. Thanks for missing the main point."software project" bro it's a renpy game, if the dev is so inept at coding he has to spend months debugging that, he should absolutely hire somebody who knows what they're doing
Nice but you should include other stuff like debug for example as it's the one that raises the cap the most each time to give the full picture.
Doing god's work here. I believe if you collect the data for the last 2 years and plot a graph it will be a perfect 1/x asymptote.
A RENPY GAME BTW!"software project" bro it's a renpy game, if the dev is so inept at coding he has to spend months debugging that, he should absolutely hire somebody who knows what they're doing
they could be making f*ck you money if they did updates like before every few months or so. If they had other people helping it wouldn't even make a difference. But they seem determined not to. With the art this could be the biggest game in the genre but they don't want itI'm totally with you, but consider this. If you could make potentially 2 thousand dollars a day busting your ass or 1 thousand a day doing nothing, which would you choose? For a lot of people, the latter is good enough.

No they couldn't. In 2024 there's a limit to how successful a project like "What A Legend!" can be. Even the most successful games on the site would not be able to replicate their original success if their successful projects were started from scratch today. It has long since been proven that regular updates don't encourage more subscriptions.they could be making f*ck you money if they did updates like before every few months or so. Exactly, take "Isekai Awakening" for example. The dev updates monthly but locks most of the good content behind supscription to his Patreon. It seems with each update the game's rating drops. No they couldn't. In 2024 there's a limit to how successful a project like "What A Legend!" can be.
