They are parents.
I would say, since you complain so much about the timing, "Make this game yourselves."
Oops, I said it. >.< Ah, patience. This unknown.
Yeh That's my question are they parents or grand parents? I mean hip replacement. But getting a kid...

Both stories were going around...

Wait... So you telling me after 1.5 years of without update they released a update, and it has no main story progress at all, and fully focused on a one character? BRUH.

It was more than 2 and it still came out with a bug that caused the game to crash and prevented you from progressing. People used to shit on me for telling what this game would turn into because of its sudden popularity, now it makes me happy to see everyone shitting on it one way or another.

It's not an opinion, it's a fact. The game still uses the same sprites and backgrounds that were made in the first 2-3 updates for 80%+ of gameplay. At least half of the text is nothing else but fillers. But supporters still cum in their pants right now like there is no tomorrow, because "OH MY GOD! LOOK AT THAT GODLIKE ART!" :KEK: So I could guess why Devs "developed" this update, which is worth no more than 2-3 months of work for 2+ years :WeSmart:

Same level of milking as Summertime Saga, or even worse)
This was a monster of an update. I did ran into more spelling/grammar errors than I would have liked, and encountered the game-breaking traceback error halfway through that was thankfully fixed quickly with the update patch. Other than that though, it took me ~6 hours to finish this update and I'm definitely not a slow reader nor stopped to smell the roses that much. I don't see a universe where this work could be done within 2-3 months. The update could've easily been split into 3 parts which is what probably should happen moving forward to keep people from screaming "game is abandoned" all the time.

For me, I would still play this game even if it had zero animations because I just find the writing that engaging (not filler) and it's not just the orc you have lewd scenes in this update too. At the end of the day, yes, the update probably took longer than it should have if you feel no sympathy towards the devs' reasoning as to why. I would never say though there wasn't love and attention put into it along the way and that it was a greedy endeavor by the devs for the update cycle to be this long like you implied. It's still a very unique experience on this website all these years later.

P.S: Unrelated, but this game has the funniest achievements ever too. There's one near the end of this update that paid off Gomira's whole story. If you know, you know.

Funnily enough, the game-breaking bug that got fixed in the 0.7.01 version only showed up when dev tried to fix some typos reported by external testers, due to an accidental keystroke. That's why no one noticed it during testing - because it wasn't there before, and the version finally released wasn't actually tested. That's game development in a nutshell, I guess.

Shouldn't public release have been early this AM since that would have been 24 hours after Patron release? Are they slipping the release time because of the day 1 bug and patch? Not that I don't trust some rando's Mega link on a pirate site... :sneaky:

That's frustrating and another example of "why are they so resistant to bringing on help?" If they're not capable of doing a good quality job why are they too proud to accept help? FFS they don't even have to hire someone for this one so it's not a cost issue. I'm sure they could make "get to help proofread text of a random scene in each update" a patreon tier perk and people would jump at the chance to help.

The update could've easily been split into 3 parts which is what probably should happen moving forward to keep people from screaming "game is abandoned" all the time.
This is where my thinking is leading. No idea why it needs to be "every scrap of content regarding this girl fully completed in one upload". No other porn VN updates that way. If you look at any other porn VN's changelog on this site you'll see "added a scene for Jessie and improved the scene with Ava" then next update "Added another scene with Julia and two new scenes with Maria including threesome with Jessie". Fans don't mind things being added piecemeal, it's better than waiting two years and having folks publicly wondering if they're being ripped off.
For me, I would still play this game even if it had zero animations because I just find the writing that engaging (not filler)
Have to agree, the charming and romantic backstories for each girl are what keep me coming back. I do think some of the complaints come from people who just speed click through all the dialogue to get to the sex, and those people are gonna always be disappointed because if you merely compare sex scenes in terms of quality and quantity, there are definitely a lot of better games out there. WAL is about the fun of getting there: the comedy, romance, and character development. I will definitely lose interest if the Nuts ever abandon that core design feature.

God damn the art and story in this game are A+. A nice sandbox without grinding. All games should aspire to be like this.
