I don't think that quote is contradictory at all since they were probably just referring to games on this site as a whole over time when you've done a thankless job for many games as a compressor at this point. You can both recognize that you don't care about/play this specific game, but still recognize overall trends across multiple games.
what is the over/under on time to play the whole new update? 20 minutes?
like 80% of the update is sprites shifting left to right on a still background, there's also a fuck ton of filler text in my opinion. there is 9 new scenes and two of them are a unavoidable threesome (not sure if those were the case in previous updates)
Hyperbole aside, how long did it you to finish the update? For me, it was ~6 hours (not a slow reader nor paused that much), so unless there was heavy ctrl skipping used, I don't see how this update could be completed in a significantly less amount of time.

Can you also cite examples of the filler text? I keep seeing criticism of that going around but never examples. Imo, I always found the text to endearing. It either always moves the story forward, flesh out the lore of the world, deepen relationships with other characters, or be at least funny/entertaining.
so you are admitting to the fact that you haven't tried the update yourself, yet for some strange reason are still defending them? just because it has +8000 images doesn't mean anything. nearly the entire first half of the update is just reused sprites moving on reused backgrounds. it took them over 2 years to muster up a update. they missed their own deadline (it was only few hours but the point still stands) and the game STILL had a game breaking error that literally prevented you from playing it. if the bug was extremely hard to reproduce than that would be somewhat understandable but all you had do was load up a old save and just play it. did they even bother playtesting? they said they did but if something like that occurs that clearly couldn't be the case.
Not sure where you're getting the info that they were late on the deadline? It was stated that the release was going to be between 21:00 - 22:00 GMT and it was leaked here in that timeframe. They do have playtesters, but they probably should extend the beta testing window in the future. I heard that the game-breaking traceback was caused by them trying to fix a typo that was pointed out by the playtesters. Regarding the 8000 images, I personally don't care either way, as I evaluate games on how it made me feel in the end. And in the end, I thought the update was long, great, and made me feel for a character (Gomira) that I was initially apprehensive towards even if they still don't suit my tastes. How you feel about the 2 year+ update will entirely depend on how much empathy you're willing to extend as to the devs' stated reasons as to why. My only hope now is that they will switch to shorter update cycles as it's clear from this point that the massive content drops for one character isn't working well with a lot of people.

Anyone got a save from the PREVIOUS update and not the newest one completed? So at the start of this new one basically. All the save files already completed all the content

there is a lot of examples but i think the two ones that stand out the most is like the majority of the opening scene in the inn and probably the skeleton pit/arena or whatever you want to call that sequence.

over 2 years for this, it showed nothing. And character story is not even finished. Animation looked worse so was the art in some scenes. It looked like rushed. What did they do over that past year? I really liked how they did it before. This was a good game, and it seems dev has fallen. I am not looking forward to future updates with this quality. Don't take me wrong, I enjoyed new content but it doesn't justify how small the content is or the quality.

Hm. I know it's imperfect, but if you use a word count to hours calculator like this one ( ), update 0.7 would be around 85k words for the average reader to complete in 6 hours. If the changelog comes out and it's nowhere near that word count, that's an L on my part. Changelog for v0.6 was 50k words, and the calculator says the average reader would take ~3.25 hours to read which is what I found to be my playtime amount last time.

Note: I do like to exhaust all the new dialogue in lewd scenes before proceeding in each step, not sure how much of a difference that makes.

Can there be more doggy style scenes in future updates? I think only Myrtle and Lana have them and gomira doesn't. And it doesn't look like the other girls will get them judging on their future update sections, please it's a staple.

You naysayers are crazy, this update was great. Obviously it'd be nice if it didn't take so long, but at least it's a large amount of high-quality content. Most of the time, an update comes out for a dead project and it's 5 minutes of shit content to keep the patreon subs renewing. This dev did a good job.

Fun to see how the most vocal complainers about the length and quality of this update were already on my ignore list for being harsh critics (to put it politely) during the dev cycle. It's almost as if they had already decided the update would never be worth the wait.

Anyway, the rest of you please have fun and try to download the latest version with the bugfix included.
