Maybe, but I have a feeling quite a few people honestly thought the progress was sus because the goal number kept increasing. Not me, but I felt from the comments that some people were trolling but others were honestly suspicious. It's just my opinion, though, haven't done any analysis of the thread.
Surely the count method didn't help, as it was an actual change from previous updates. Devs acknowledged it and will probably look for better ways of communicating their daily work. But the point is that everything was diligently explained to those who actually cared to know. Then obviously it's always a matter of faith, but that's the same with every project that tries to let their followers know how work is going. Sometimes it feels like many people would just prefer having empty and non-descriptive written reports instead.

Enjoyed the update immensely! The art is top notch and I found the story very funny and well written. Also, I'm happy to know the devs have finally overcome their personal troubles, especially considering those also concerned health issues.

The only thing that left me a little cold is that this (huge!) update had very little "game" parts in it. There is almost no interaction requested from the players, it basically felt like a very long cutscene. I still enjoyed it but I feel like I would have liked it much much more if there were more interaction.

I understand what you say and agree with you. There are many people like that.

Will we get to bang our moms?
I'm afraid that's never going to be an option now.

Such a thing was on the devs mind but because some changes in Patreon guidelines that's not going to be possible, they even got forced to release a small patch to add some changes to the game to avoid issues with those news guidelines, some of these changes were precisely related to the protagonist and his "moms".

Only those who wanted to feel that way and refused to listen to what I was saying, or to visit the game's discord and openly ask about it (and I'm not mentioning reading the patreon's weekly reports because those were paywalled).
it's never the issue what they communicate. all milkers and scam artists have a neverending supply of plausible excuses, it doesn't mean shit what they say on discord or anywhere else. the issue is always that after the updates start slipping nothing they say has any credibility.

And when the update actually arrives and somewhat matches what they've been saying all this time?

tried and persistently keeps coming back
Seriously ? I play every version 0.1 to 0.7 and there is no major bugs found which mean exit game due to error code. 0.6.0.2 I have and no bugs found , but 0
2 has some image file woodlog missing and can be bypass just ignore and also 0.7.0.2 has some bugs but avoidable just press ignore , that some bugs are such as gomira.rpy 30403 like that can be fix just press ignore. It was work for me.

Finally, The Update.

Hope the dev team can get back to an 8-12 month turn around cycle with the various IRL issues behind them.

I'm afraid that's never going to be an option now.

I wouldn't completely discount the possibility yet, there's plenty of alternative DLC's out there for this kind of content to be released outside Steam and Patreon. But at the current release schedule, might take a decade to get around to.

OK, I've reached the end of current content & thoroughly enjoyed this update, thank you very much to Magicnuts & uploaders!!!

I need some help to get a missing scene, from the Curriculum Vitae, if anyone know how to get this one, please?

It's the final page & titled "SS Play to unlock".
Use the scene replay thingy to go to the scene where you first have sex with Gomira in her tent. Keep pressing 'faster' til you go full orc. Death by snu snu.

The rage on the progress tracker, at this point, makes no sense. Of course it isn't empirical data. It's how the devs felt that their progress was. When the numbers went up, that was because of the devs mismanagement and feature creep. The tracker did reflect that accurately, so it did the job. We looked at the tracker everyday, got an idea how development is going and bashed the devs when it felt deserved. By all means, the tracker was better than written updates

Even if I agree with some parts of what you said I still think that those trackers contributed more to distrusting the devs work than the opposite and if they want to avoid that in the future they will need to make their "predictions" of those numbers as accurate as possible or just find a different solution.
