Ren'Py games on Mac keep their saves in a folder in ~/Library/Renpy. Have you looked there ?Im having issues with using external saves. I can't find a save folder (im on Mac btw) for the game.
More specifically, ~/Library/RenPy/Inventory02-1551646067.Ren'Py games on Mac keep their saves in a folder in ~/Library/Renpy. Have you looked there ?
Im stuck on 2 folders, one name "lib" (im assuming it's short for library) and it only contains a python folder. The other folder was "autorun" containing "game" and "renpy" and two other files. In the renpy folder there is no save folder or "Inventory02-1551646067". I tried to just command F it but nothing pops up.Ren'Py games on Mac keep their saves in a folder in ~/Library/Renpy. There are 2 saves locations. One within the 'game' folder, which is created the first time you run the game and try to save your progress. And then there's a backup folder, which is the one the other guys told you about and it's located in a system folder (Library/RenPy/Inventory02-155164607). This backup folder exists so you don't need to manually transfer your saves from the old 'game' folder to the new one every time the game is updated. You can put the save your downloaded in either of these two locations.Im stuck on 2 folders, one name "lib" (im assuming it's short for library) and it only contains a python folder. Library is a hidden folder on macs. Press Command + Shift + . (period) while in Finder, or "cd ~/Library/Renpy" in a terminal.Im stuck on 2 folders, one name "lib" (im assuming it's short for library) and it only contains a python folder. That's for Windows. We're talking about Mac here https://f95zone.to/threads/what-a-legend-v0-7-05-magicnuts.51349/post-16892299There are 2 saves locations. To be fair, I think the creators had at least one child since they started the Gomira and surprisingly kids take up a lot of time that could be used to make material for an adult game. But hey, you do you.I've been following this game since 2020, five months after it was first released, and it was easily my favorite game. Then we waited 2.5 years for just one update and, in my opinion, it was the worst update this game ever got. I thought the slow progress was just the case for that only one update but now that I've come here after 5 months and seen that they didn't even complete one third of the next update, I lost my hope for this game.
I wish you patience, the ones who still tracks this game's updates daily. Don't even hope for the next update in at least 13-14 months (and that's my optimist prediction).
The child didn't exactly crawl back to free them up for this update. I am optimistic with this game, but now there's sadly data on their speed of work for this update. And it extrapolates to next yearTo be fair, I think the creators had at least one child since they started the Gomira and surprisingly kids take up a lot of time that could be used to make material for an adult game. Somehow you seem to have the very first 0.7 version released, which had some bugs that were quickly fixed. Just make sure you download the latest version available (0.7.05)Game crashed during Bonetown quest. Logs attached can't get beyond this point.
Thank you so much for being alert, while I was asleep at the wheelSomehow you seem to have the very first 0.7 version released, which had some bugs that were quickly fixed. Just make sure you download the latest version available (0.7.05)
I'm gonna say I don't mind waiting for a game if it means alleviating the workload of people trying to give their kids a good upbringing. The child didn't exactly crawl back to free them up for this update. Found it thanks ❤Don't assume lib is the same as library. The folder is called Library, nothing else..
There are three of them: one in the root of Macintosh HD: /Library
Another one in System: /System/Library
The third one is hidden (one of Apple's more clever ideas) in your Home folder: ~/Library
This is the one we're talking about.
(The ~symbol (tilde) in a filepath indicates your home folder)
If you have path, don't use Command F but shift-command-G while in Finder and type or paste the path there.
You can also make this Library folder permanently visible. This option shows up in the View Options (Command J) for your home folder.

Finally, if you want to search for things on your HD, I recommend Easyfind (freeware from Needful Things - Devontechnologies)
This allows you to search for files and folders using wildcards and Boolean operators, searching also in hidden folders and inside packages. Spotlight is worthless for this. I never use it.
That's what I thought for the last update, you're absolutely right but I still think this update should be much faster or people might start losing interest for the game. They released Mrytle's update in just 5 months. The last update came in 30 months and this update will take at least 15 months. You have to work at least 3x slower to make this happen. I had thought they'd be more experienced in time and release longer updates in less time but god I was wrong. Okay, I respect the children situation but it feels like they lost the passion or got lazy or just don't care as much as they used to do. I don't know, maybe I'm just delusional. To be fair, I think the creators had at least one child since they started the Gomira and surprisingly kids take up a lot of time that could be used to make material for an adult game. Isn't the kid, like, 18 years old by now?The child didn't exactly crawl back to free them up for this update. I am optimistic with this game, but now there's sadly data on their speed of work for this update. And it extrapolates to next year
19, they retconed him running off on his 18th birthday in to being 19 because they were afraid of patreons latest crackdown.Isn't the kid, like, 18 years old by now?![]()
