What are your thoughts on games with female protagonist?

I don't like em because I tend to get immersed in a game and self-insert as the MC. Also, I find lesbian sex fun for about the first 15 seconds then that shit just gets boring with no penetration. Strongly opposed to futa content though. Regarding MF sex with a female protagonist, I'm not attracted to rape from a female point of view, or sluts who'll take multiple dicks at once. I'm also not into games where the female protagonist falls in love with and remains faithful to one guy, because that guy ain't who I'm self-inserting into. I like strong, classy women, not the easily broken fuck dolls that exist in the world of RPGM games.

In games like Grand Theft Auto you aren't helping little old ladies cross the street. You are not the Hero, the men and women of law enforcement are the heroes. You are the antagonist, the villain of the story, you are upto no good... and it's fun being the bad guy. Big Brother is another example where you play the villain, Max, rather than the protagonist. The girls were the protagonists, the story was about corrupting them, they change over time. Eric was the Hero.

Here's a thing. Lets say you play an RPG with romance options (Mass Effect/Dragon Age style or whatever). Would you rather choose male character and pick up chicks or choose female to look at that butt. If you would go with female, would you rather romance the lesbian chicks or straight boys?
Personally I always pick male character whenever I can.
In Mass Effect, you had exactly zero incentive to pick the male commander since the voice acting is notoriously bad compared to femShepard.

But to answer your question, I initially picked the asari gal in the first, Kelly in the second, can't remember for the third, but eventually tried all the romances with a save game editor (even Jacob), and reached the conclusion that none of them were worth going through. They all seemed dull to me, barring an exception or two (like Jack, if I remember right).

In general, and for other games, I usually pick female romance interests, but I also play, support and enjoy all kind of different games, with or without LI, male or female ones, as long as the game is GOOD.

Eventually though, what's your point ? What will compartmentalizing people like you seem to do tell you about players like me ? That I'm suddenly gay because I play with a female toon in video games ? Please be serious.

I don't think it's sad for people to enjoy playing games in the way they want, nor should it ever be. What is sad is when we start taking things for universal truths when it's obvious that human nature and tastes are quite a bit more complex.

Play games with male protagonists by all means, just play (and support) the good ones.

I know exactly what you mean. And I think it's not your fault. You see ... you shouldn't have that kind of problem if you play a good game.

If you feel you have to protect her, that means it was author intention - he want us to feel that way. And it's probably not a game for you or me (let me give you some examples: "Anna Exciting Affection" "Adventures Of Tara" "Elena's Life" - there's no win situation there - only fap fap fap...and some people love it!)

My first female protagonist was Hawke from Dragon Age 2. I love her! It's because of her I love to play as females. But you have to choose right game.
Games with male protagonist can be as bad as any - I hate when my male character is having sex with some random blond bimbo, If I wasn't given any choice on this - that's not a game for me.

Some games give you more control over your character. And then, when you have a choice of sex partner, you don't feel overprotective anymore. For example: "The Coceter Chronicles" or "Caliross, The Shapeshifter's Legacy" are perfect!

Choose a right game and you gonna love female protagonists.
You gonna have a lot of fun without worrying.

Unfortunately, this kind of games are a rare sight on F95. But I hope this will change.

That's not always the case. I played https://f95zone.to/threads/escape-from-fortress-lugohm-v1-01-barony-sengia.3561/ and helped her escape, without her being raped once... hard mode... not what the dev had intended.

What? Protagonist and antagonist aren't interchangeable with hero and villain (respectively) either. I haven't played GTA since IV, but I'd surely consider Niko the protagonist. The cops were antagonists. So was Roman. :p

I strongly disagree. Male Shep is the true Shep. Even the devs had no idea what to do with FemShep. She was so unpopular they remade her looks in each game. I even remember that Bioware made an online poll with 3 different designs, she was that forgetable.

I would love to like them however I am just so tired of the copy-paste formula almost every single one of them tend to use.
  • Hot lady gets grope by old guy
  • She doesn't want him to do it but since she got wet it must be a turn on(which is another problem for me but whatever)
  • she blows him, his son, and next-door neighbor
  • rinse, repeat
  • end of corruption
Why cant we just have a FemC who just happens to be a woman? Thats why JOHN is such a breath of fresh air and high life being abandoned was so devastating. You can actually control what happens. They are characters instead of plot devices for hot CGs

Not a game but a thread full of comics. Perhaps of your interest? https://f95zone.to/threads/extreme-content.39520/post-2958198
In my case anything with gore, blood or even mild violence is a no no. I like training games but I always go for the love route. Also, slightly connected preference of mine is that I cant stand when chicks fuck with monster dudes. A guy fucking orc lady? Cool, I can be into it, but a girl fucking orc guys is a turn off.

I've always liked female protaganists because they're a different perspective. Not only that... but they always get better clothes in mmos, and better customization options

I consider myself a spectator watching the characters' story so the protagonist can be a man, a woman, or a tentacle monster for what I care. As long as they're interesting enough to stand on their own merits it's good to me. I also tend to dislike self-inserts unless they are in gameplay-heavy titles (in which case I just play the game for the mechanics) because my "immersion" requires me to be able to outright reject any sex or romance, which is kind of self-defeating in a porn game.

I play myself in games even if its nto an RPG and I cant make any choices. Im just that person. I hate when the devs make a mute protagonist (Half Life) and say that helps the player to insert themselves as the controlled character. I feel complete opposite. Playing a mute when no one acknowledges it and just monologues to themselves throws me out of the game and I think of myself as a floating gun that just does stuff.

Here is my problem with games with female protagonist. Whenever I play as a woman I try to protect her, do not let any sex scene even to happen, especially those forced ones. This makes the whole experience pointless and is turning me off. Its like a fathers instinct is kicking in. Also a game in which a woman likes to fuck with different men feels like a game for women. Because of all that Im skipping every game with 'female protagonist' tag (which is a lot I noticed).
What are your thoughts on games like this? How do you enjoy them?
I think that's fairly common, I can't play female protags either. And I did the same thing when I tried, picked non-sex scenes defeating the purpose. Of course I've only tried one: Anna Exciting Affection, and I was being asked to choose whether or not she should let some old, fat, bald dude eat her pussy. Yea, no. She's fine though so I did enjoy the static images from the file folder.

I don't understand. Isn't this how you play normal games? Is this not the natural flow of how things go? How else do you start a hentai game, i.e. pervert game, i.e. deviant game if not by subverting the natural order? This is genuinely puzzling to me.

Playing as a woman and fucking different dudes feels like a porn for women to enjoy more.

As I favor lesbian games, my favorite games are by default female protagonist.

I'm not a fan of straight female protagonists though.

If they have a similar plot as a male protagonist game, they would be similar to other straight games for me, as I don't relate to protagonists in porn games anyway and I care little whether I click "Mom, I saw your old porn video. Suck my dick or I'll tell everyone" or "Oh, please don't, I'll do anything you say." Sure it's always disappointing, when a female protagonist is not a lesbian, but if the game was worth playing from a male perspective, I may give it a chance with a female protagonist, if there are no lesbian games at hand.

What I really find nauseating are games with gang bangs and similar stuff. These are elements that make games completely unplayable for me. I consider it gay porn with a token woman.

I have ability to play for: male protagonist; female protagonist; insect, who attacks the planet; starship; R2D2, godzilla; green ball; pokemon; guy, who eats dots, in labirynth; etc.

What is more important is the gameplay and plot.
