manowera wrote in deleted thread. As far as I'm concerned I'm not breaking any forum rules. These are just my speculations but I'd like to share them.
Observation #1. He/she/they hates Meredian server, its community and its administration.
This is one of the first manowera's posts or maybe actually the first (hard to tell because not all pages were cached).
And followed by others posts later
Also I assume manowera have been posting from alt accounts in that thread to support his/her/their statements but I don't have any proofs so not going to point anyone.
What I'm trying to say is manowera was probably interested in deletion of the thread.
Observation #2. He/she/they made up at least one of the explanations of how the game was stealing your personal information.
Recently this person tried to explain the technical details of how the game was stealing your data.
The problem is two last paragraphs from the explanation were just copied (and slightly edited) from the reddit thread about Guild Wars 2 banning scandal, when developers used software too similar to spyware to detect players who were using cheats. Unfortunately I can't post the link because it's against the rules, but you can easily find it if google "0x6F4E90 reddit". Just compare these screenshots.
manowera has also mentioned "Fade.exe". Now, I'm not sure about it but it also might be made up. "Fade" keylogger is famous between GTA V players because it was used in some of the modifications for the game back in 2015 and probably can be noticed by antiviruses by now. Google "fade.exe GTA V" or type "fade.exe" in google news.
I couldn't find completely copy-pasted sections like in previous case so it's not totally impossible meredian devs were using it.
Conclusion
manowera is toxic and probably posted deliberate misleading information.
That said, manowera is right that antivirus software cannot always detect all the threats. I'm not a tech specialist so I can't really analyze the code of the game and what's it doing but I know there are bright people who could. So if someone actually found something suspicious it would be really nice of them to post a video proof or a thorough explanation. Thanks for your time.
