Could you help me with their discord link?
It seems that also they just closed up everything and are starting from scratch too...There are no forums, i can't find the discord, old one seems to be closed too. There is a new project, from devs of the same group who deserted Meredian to make Pandorioum 3DX, in essence is pretty much the same, still is quite low on people, can't complain i guess, is still a really new game. The discord is quite active and devs seems to actually care about the game development, so got a future... Of course, without all the drama and hopely no data stealing.

You really think that some virus/trojan has existed in this game for years and hasn't been caught by the billion dollar anti-virus industry in all that time? Riiiight...

There's a much, much higher chance of finding a virus in a brand new, half-assed visual novel than in an 8 year old MMO.
A virus or malware going undetected for years isn't that uncommon. Virus scanners work several ways first is using a pattern to match and detect it, the second is using a virtual machine to see how it behaves. Systems that use virtual machines don't catch everything because if the behavior of the software either doesn't act in a way to trigger their alerts it won't be detected. Relying on patterns also doesn't work because viruses can morph or even be built using payloads of code in different types of files.

Take for example I could put a payload in images and then provide a free image display for the format I choose. If in that display software it detects those images with the payload I could make the virus change by using different images or updating them.
I could also use the exif data to trigger which images are actually used as payload and when such as using the time code or other aspects. Unless the developer of the virus scanner knew of the virus and the type and what it is doing it would be hard to detect. They would have to have the right images in the window of time the payloads are active to even detect any potential issues. If they don't it wouldn't show any abnormal signs to the outside.

But that isn't the biggest issue. The biggest issue people voluntarily put themselves at risk because they fail to read the terms and so on. As long as the person oks it and the data collected is mentioned in the terms well then it doesn't even count as malware. You have to just chalk that shit up to stupid people which there are far to many of.

If you subscribe for 12 months upfront, it's only $45, so about $3.80/mo.
I was not aware they went down on the price. I might actually look in to that again now that you mentioned that. Thanks for the heads up mate. I really appreciate it.

Looks like all doubts about this have explained, so I'll just close and if anyone is interested in seeing the continuation of this pissing contest between different devs/version, feel free to ask Google where to find the porn.
