Let's just say his fan base is....divided....and not all that comes from the actual stories (whether you like them or not) alone. A lot of comes from fanatacism for a project and deep annoyance that one project may get more time spent on it than another.

There's a reason there were two seperate Patreon accounts for each. All that beiong said, and I'm sure Nasc will agree with me, this is still the better VN ;)

*runs away cackling*
@ me you pussy! You know damn well I'm online! :ROFLMAO:

Yes. As someone who prefers SG to WiAB by a wiiiiiide margin, I still have to admit this is the overall better VN. At the moment at least. That wasn't always the case. But the narrative is better, dialogue is miles better and the characters are better established and portrayed in a much more clear and logical manner.

Like I said, I have to play it again. A story that seemed simple, just coming back to the nest for a week with the new girlfriend, but it turns out to be a dark and incestuous family and a lot of ghosts from the past that come to hunt the MC and make the stay not just for a few days :devilish:.

P.S. Nasc is the guy in love with the best girl in Chasing Sunsets? The one who was ruined by her new trendy haircut? :KEK:.

I need to play the whole thing again. I remember playing to the end of chapter 2, which ends with the whole family going to some kind of farm. But I don't remember most of it because I played it while I was dying of sleep, I remember nodding off to wake up, clicking five times and going back to sleep :LUL:. It has a lot of stories to pay attention to.

I hope I like it because I admit I'm an SG fan and I've read that if you like one Ocean game you won't like the other, I don't know if that's true :Kappa:.
Being totally honest, the fan base of WIAB is very small, just by numbers you could say that the statement is valid. But even knowing that there are people who like both games, the truth is that they are proposals that target different audiences.

Besides, I think SG can only give spoilers for WIAB, so the excitement for the WIAB story would be half dead, we know the story (they haven't changed the important points of the old WIAB) to a certain point, and any little detail that appears in SG reveals things about the final part of WIAB.

and Maviarab is right, WIAB is superior :sneaky:

She wasn't "ruined". She is still beautiful...just a little less so with that awful haircut. That shitty side buzzcut thing doesn't look good on anyone.
Not true I dont know what character your talking about as I only play 1 of the aforementioned vn's but one of my exes had her hair like what you described some years back and it actually looked super sexy on her. Normally id agree with you but for some reason it seemed to fit that ex girlfriend really well and gave her an edgy almost sexy biker chick type of look.( Not my type at all by the way theres a reason shes my ex lol) but yea you get the idea. I wish I had a picture so you could see what im talkin about.

We had an understanding. As long as you don't claim WiAB was "always" the better VN I won't mention the nightmare fuel ;)
i have to say WIAB iis a much better VN than SG .. SG is a great VN but it is going in so many directions that updates to me are slower, and more confusing unless you have played it in every direction like i have many times over... WIAB is much more linear and direct. you have choices but nothing that can totally change the direction of the game. plus there is a more compact group off main characters so its easier to follow.. iim waiting for the year that both VN's start to really invade each other.. im 50 so i figure by the time im in my 60's that might happen lol.. both VN's are great though

Yeah, where WIAB hugely benfits is the rework started at Ch1. The story flows much better (currently) and as you say, the smaller cast of main characters makes it seem I dunno, more homely in a way and direct. Everyone knows the MC and the plot and 'history' of the characters is slowly being revealed.

This is in direct opposition to SG at the moment (or has been at least up until now). As for the time, hmmmm heh, I love this VN, I really do but I hear ya and neither am I stupid or blind. I've said before, now is the time (now SG crap sorted) that Ocean needs to prove he can release timely updates for both, on schedule and I think that is now how he should be judged. There are no more excuses.

We'll see if we actually are in our 60's by the time it's all done, in the meantime though, I'll continue to enjoy whatever comes along, when it comes along.

do we know a timeframe for when chapter 4 will be available?
Hoping...being the operative word, around September'ish...by my own estimations as this is due to receive an update before SG does, and he is determined to release SG S2CH1 before the end of the year.

However, this is Ocean so we shall see. If see no update before the end of the year (or before yet another SG update), I'm sure what little goodwill Ocean still has left will erode rapidly, hence why I'm personally confidant the next release will be sooner, rather than later.

Stebember would be wonderful, but I think is a rather optimistic take, especially because Ocean stated that both updates will be bigger than it usually is. Myself am not holding my breath for anything before November.

I hope that he can get the workstation before the end of the year so 2025 we can see updates faster

Well you also have to remember that the next chapter will also coincide with a Steam release too. He needs this sooner rather than later having lost Patreon for this. I doubt very much it will be near the end of the year, given as i said, he seems adamant S2Ch1 of SG will be released before the end of the year.

I am hopeful that WIAB will be released before SG... i.e. December 7 WIAB and December 21 SG. :sneaky:
Now in all seriousness, I believe that WIAB was frozen at 800 renders in January and only resumed in earnest in mid-May. We know that the production capacity "increased" by hardware, but also increased the ambition of the next chapter of SG (5k-8k renders) which makes me wonder if all A6000 are enough to make 7-10 k renders in this annual cycle-.
